The Basics Fukuoka with a library design
The Basics Fukuoka 🏨
We stayed in the same hotel for 6 consecutive nights on this Christmas trip to Fukuoka. Since we decided to go on a family trip at the end of October, there were very few options. We needed a room that could accommodate 4 people and we also needed to have a room available for 6 consecutive nights. In the end, we only had 3 rooms to choose from.
Finally, I chose The Basics Fukuoka, which is about an 8-minute walk from Hakata Station. Although it is not far, I think it is not suitable for people who do not drive. The area around the hotel is also dark and quiet after nightfall.
We stayed in a triple room, and the two single beds were enough for 2 adults and 2 children, so we notified the hotel to remove the single bed that was added later, so that there would be more space to move around in the living room.
It is not a family hotel (so there are no family facilities), and the lighting in the room is dim (the photo is dimmed), but the supplies are complete, and there is a bathtub 🛁 for children to play bubble bath.
The lobby is designed like a library, quite impressive, but the rest of the place… nothing special 😂!
What’s more special is that after going out, the staff will leave a Thank You card after cleaning the room, and you can go to the front desk to exchange it for milk tea, coffee, snacks or eye masks.
