🧐 The Burrell Collection is listed as one of the most important personal collection museums in the UK, on par with the National Gallery in London and the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum. It houses 9,000 pieces of art donated to the city of Glasgow by shipping magnate and collector Sir William Burrell and his wife Constance.
✨ Burrell's collection covers a large number of medieval and early Renaissance art pieces, including stained glass, armor, tapestries, as well as porcelain, bronzeware and jade from China, 19th-century French art, including Degas's pastels, sketches and oil paintings.
