Railway from the past
In the past, the railway was a means of public transportation between Singapore and Malaysia, which was a great alternative to taking buses, cars or even planes to travel between the countries. For me, the memory of taking the overnight train starting from Tanjong Pagar Railway station lingers even after so long.
Now, it has been refurbished to become a place for hikers, joggers and cyclists to explore, and at the same time to preserve pieces of history, such as the bridges and Bukit Timah Railway Station. While the full length is 24km, you may have the option to walk certain parts of it instead of having to cover the whole route. The historical parts of the corridor are mainly found in the central section near Hillview MRT, while the other parts are mostly nature trails.
You may find many photo spots can be found along here. If possible, try to go there early to avoid the hot afternoon sun and the crowds too.
