The Cloisters Museum
Located in Upper West New York, the Cloisters is an extension of the MET Museum. It's a great place for a picnic or a walk on a nice day. If you have a MET admission ticket, you can enter the Cloisters for free on the same day. If you go with a resident, you can enter with a donation of $1. All the decorations, columns, and buildings inside are genuine pieces brought from Europe. It feels like a beautiful European castle or villa, so even though it's a bit far, it's worth visiting.

Medieval Magic: A Day at The Met Cloisters
The Met Cloisters is a beautiful museum in New York and it is dedicated to medieval European art and architecture.
Getting There - You can get there by the subway from the city.
Highlights - This is a museum that I didn't expect to exist in New York City! The museum is inside tranquil gardens, that gives off a strong atmosphere of a medieval monastery.
1. Cloistered Gardens - These are beautifully designed gardens inspired by medieval monastic life. The courtyard is so serene and I can sit there all afternoon to admire the landscape.
2. Gothic Chapel - This is a beautiful space that resembles a real gothic chapel, showcasing medieval stained glass windows, funerary sculptures, and religious artifacts.
3. Unicorn Tapestry - This is a series of intricately woven tapestries from the late Middle Ages, depicting the hunt for a unicorn. Very unique piece
4. Romanesque Hall - The highlight here is the medieval architectural elements and sculptures and portals from ancient churches and abbeys
Rating - 9/10, really enjoyed this museum.

The Metrop
The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has a branch called The Met Cloisters, located in the Ford Trian Park in the north of Manhattan, exhibiting medieval religious art and tapestries. Tickets for the museum's main building are common here, because it is far from the city, and it is recommended to leave half a day if you plan to travel. This time, because part of the Heavenly Bodies exhibition was placed here, I made a special trip to visit.
The first time I came here, maybe you will have the same questions as me. It looks like a European ancient monastery. How can it appear in the United States? In fact, it was built in the 1930s by the construction of some churches in southern France and Italy. Concerts are sometimes held here, as well as free guided tours in the afternoon.
