3 days and 2 nights in Guiyang | Thanks to my husband for his active support when our baby was 120 days old. Many people say that winter is the worst time to visit (rainy and cold), hahaha! But I was lucky enough to have two days of good weather. Although the first day was freezing cold, the next two days were over 10°C and I was sweating. Lazy itinerary Day 1: 12:30 Arrive at Guiyang Airport, Guizhou Museum, Douhua Fish Hotel (order takeout: Guizhou-style spring rolls, Qu Tea Mountain, beef skewers, ice cream) Day 2: 10:56 Depart for Libo Xiaoqikong, Guizhou-style sour soup hot pot Day 3: 10:35 Go out, 857 Hot Pot (drink Lishan Mountain) Humen Street Catholic Church, hotel rest, Anshun Duochi Duo Fen Airport Accommodation: Atour Hotel (less than CNY 200 per person per day) Recommended breakfast with a wide variety of food, daily fruit, late-night snacks, and yogurt delivered to the room. Convenient location, 5 minutes to the subway, and all the places we visited on the third day were within walking distance. Transportation: You can use the Alipay ride code, but you need to top up your account first. You can get a 10% discount when you top up, and you can get a refund for the remaining balance. According to my itinerary, the subway fare is less than CNY 20 (we took a taxi half the time). One thing to complain about! The subway signs are not clear! Are they afraid of being found by me?! Every time I got lost, I couldn't find the subway entrance or exit. Most of the entrances and exits have long and deep stairs, which are not friendly to those with luggage. Oh, right! Although there is a subway at the airport, you have to walk 400 meters from T3 and go through several underground passages (stairs) to get there. It is next to the high-speed rail station, but there are only signs for the high-speed rail station, so it is easy to miss it. Food: Sour and spicy, a paradise for those who like sour food! I was in a good mood after eating. In winter, it is really cold here, and the wind blows through the restaurant. I was so cold on the first day that I couldn't go out, so I went back to the hotel and ordered takeout. But in the off-season, there is no need to wait in line for food, and the time is right (for specific food reviews, please see the previous article...) Scenic spots Huangguoshu Waterfall, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, and Libo Xiaoqikong are all around Guiyang. You can join a tour group or take the high-speed rail on your own. We only went to Xiaoqikong this time (see the homepage for the guide), and it was worth it to see the rainbow!

Located at No. 166, Shaanxi Road, the Guizhou Catholic Church was built in 1875 under the supervision of French missionary Pierre-Marie-Alphonse Favier. It is a typical Chinese-Western fusion church with a history of 150 years. It is a perfect combination of traditional Chinese pavilion-style and Gothic architecture. 📷Photos 1–4 show the east gate of the church, which is very spectacular. 📍Search for "Catholic Church Parking Lot" in navigation apps. The main facade is a stepped gable wall in light blue, inlaid with colorful reliefs in the style of Chinese national art, depicting traditional Chinese landscapes, flowers, and birds. The flying eaves and corners are guarded by divine beasts. It is a typical Chinese pavilion-style building with a five-story, six-cornered spire bell tower. The flying eaves and corners are guarded by divine beasts such as the qilin and ao fish, and the top of the tower is adorned with a gourd and a cross. 📷Photos 12–13 show the west gate of the church, which is located in an inconspicuous part of the city. If you visit Guiyang, you must check in at this Chinese-Western fusion architectural style church. If the church is open, you can also take photos inside. 2⃣ Minsheng Road/Caijia Street/Beifu North Street These streets are very close to each other, and there are many snacks on the streets. You can choose just one route, and lunch can be settled here! 3⃣ Wenbi Street/Dajue Jing She (currently under repair and cannot be entered, not visible from outside, don't waste your trip!) Take a photo of the distant Dajue Jing She tower tip at the entrance of Wenbi Street. At the end of Wenbi Street is Dajue Jing She (currently under repair and cannot be entered!) 4⃣ Wenchang Pavilion (free) A few minutes' walk from Dajue Jing She, you can go directly to the city wall for photos, free entry, very small inside. 5⃣ Jiaxiu Tower (free) You can walk from Wenchang Pavilion (all downhill), it is even more charming after the lights are on at 6 o'clock. 6⃣ Qingyun Market Take a taxi directly from Jiaxiu Tower, the atmosphere is still good, very crowded, super large night market! Dinner can be settled here! 👇 ⭕️Day 2: 1⃣ Qianling Mountain Park Get up in the morning and go directly to Qianling Mountain Park. It is recommended to go to the East Gate (there is a subway or you can take a taxi directly). Breakfast or lunch can be settled outside the East Gate. On the way, you will first pass the zoo for free visit, then go to Hongfu Temple. On the way, you will encounter many monkeys on the roadside, be careful not to get too close. After visiting Hongfu Temple, you can go directly down the mountain and exit at the main gate. There are many snacks and restaurants outside the gate, and lunch can also be settled here. 2⃣ Dongshan Temple After resting, take a taxi directly to Dongshan Temple. Do not climb the mountain from the main gate, there are too many stairs! You can take a taxi to the intersection of Dongshan Road and Qixia Road, then walk along the alley to the end, and follow the stairs for about 10 minutes to reach the top! You can watch the sunset here. 3⃣ Huaguoyuan/Twin Towers After going down the mountain, take a taxi directly to Huaguoyuan Wetland Park. After getting off, you can directly see Huaguoyuan and the Twin Towers (I love Guiyang).

You can capture the blend of these styles right at the entrance of its public restroom! It's the same as the cover photo! If you're driving, you can navigate to the east gate of the Catholic Church, where there are two small parking lots. Entering from here, you'll first see the view in picture 9. If you enter from the west gate, you'll first see the bell tower in picture 7. Admission is free here!

I really want to measure the city with my steps, but it's hard to eat while walking. After synthesizing several posts, I've come up with the most suitable route for lazybones. Just plan the order yourself with a map. Radio Street (Images 1-2) Good for taking pictures and feeling petty bourgeois, but didn't spend much. Climbing slopes and steps, it's one of the cleanest roads in Guiyang. You must go into the market when you pass by, the entrance looks like a cave. The coffee is super cheap, not to mention delicious, and the courtyard is just too beautiful. ②Cathedral (Images 3-5) Colorful, a landmark building of Guiyang, free entry. The church is very photogenic both inside and out (Image 2 position is in the alley on the right side of the back door). 3 Yuwen Lane (Image 6) Has the famous trip Smith's first store, suitable for having a drink when your legs are tired. 4 Dajue Hermitage (Images 8-10) Nothing special, Guiyang has no sunny days for three days. Guiyang Beitian Catholic Church is the oldest church in Guizhou's Catholic history, founded in 1798 (the third year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty), and has been rebuilt, renovated, and repaired several times in history. ✝️ The existing architectural style was completed in 1876, which is a combination of Chinese and Western styles. The facade of the church is a combination of a thirty-meter-high Chinese-style gate tower and a rose window. The archway is full of gray plastic reliefs, presenting a cyan color overall. This cyan color should originally come from blue and white inlaid porcelain, but after the renovation, it could not be fully covered, and colored paint was used, which is a bit regrettable.
