#2024TravelReview The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts (Russian: Музей изобразительных искусств им. А.S. Пушкина) is located in Moscow. Although it is not as well-known as the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, it is the second largest museum in Russia with foreign artists. The exterior adopts a palace-style architectural design, which is very elegant and magnificent. The space inside the museum is really large, and its status is almost like the British Museum in London and the Louvre in Paris. The Pushkin Museum has a rich collection, ranging from artifacts from ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations, replicas of Renaissance sculptures, to modern and contemporary European paintings and sculptures, totaling 670,000 treasures. In addition to the wonderful and rich works of Impressionism, there are also countless works of Post-Impressionism.

This is another interesting place in Moscow. The museum has many halls, each hall has a show classified by era. There are different works of art such as paintings, sculptures, and virtual material models. I must say that it is worth the price… Walking around the museum for a short while took 3 hours. Inside, there are about 10 halls, and each hall shows different works, making you excited throughout your visit. If you don’t know where to go, try going to a museum. 😉

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Moscow. This place is not located in down town, however It can be reached easily by taxi or public transport. The whole visit, including taking pictures, should last between 1 to 2 hours. This museum is enormous so you can easily skip accidentally certain rooms. Better take your the time to visit building by building and one floor at a time so you won't miss anything. A wonderful museum but here is little hint for you: the museum is actually 2 buildings next to each other and one of them has paintings meanwhile the second one has sculptures. I highly recommend to visit the second one. The sculpture hall of this museum is just marvellous! Although the it is not very big but very impressive and worth visiting. The Pushkin Museum is just 1km from Red Square, just across a bridge. Here are some tips to note: 1⃣️You can buy e-tickets online in advance to save time queuing at the door. 2⃣️There are 2 small branches in the museum, one is mainly Roman sculptures, the other is mainly oil paintings, many images of Christ and the Virgin Mary, I bought the sculpture museum, 🎫650🦌, about 1.5h to finish. 3⃣️There is a 🎹 performance at four o'clock in the afternoon, I enjoyed it for a while, free grand piano, the performer is very good, smooth and emotional. 4⃣️You have to come out the same way in the museum, I went wrong several times. 5⃣️It's best to find a Russian friend, or a local guide to explain, pure foreigners who only speak English can only understand the general idea, many deep meanings can't be understood. 6⃣️It's definitely worth a visit, the ticket price is very cheap, next time there is a chance to go to the other gallery ha~ I heard there are real works of masters like Monet, Van Gogh, etc., this time is limited.
