First Taste of Kangaroo Meat Burger
The reason for choosing this place is because of its classic environment, which feels very much like an old European establishment, with a relaxed pub atmosphere.
Like many Australian cafes, it has both indoor and outdoor seating. I decided to sit inside to experience the classic old shop vibe.
I found the Kangaroo Burger on the menu!!! I had tried kangaroo meat in Hong Kong before, and it tasted somewhat like beef. I was curious to see how the local kangaroo meat would taste. I was very interested in trying it.
Unlike a typical burger that only has tomato and lettuce, this one, in addition to tomato, also has arugula and a generous amount of beetroot puree. It's a more upscale version!
The kangaroo meat patty has a solid texture (but not overly tough), however, the gamey flavor is quite strong, which might not be acceptable to everyone. As someone who enjoys strong flavors, I didn't fall in love with it, but having it once in a while is fine.
Some say the Flat White originated in Melbourne, others say Sydney. Anyway, I've had Flat Whites in many cafes across Australia, and most of them were to my liking. The most important thing is that the temperature is just right, unlike some places in Hong Kong where it's just warm. This cafe's Flat White is also quite good.
