The Rocks|Soulful market experience
If you ask me, besides the Sydney Opera House, what other place would I go to again and again?
I would definitely say: The Rocks Market
On the contrary, there are many handicrafts and designs that surprise me:
🌿 Australian local fragrances, Aboriginal-style wood carvings, vintage silver jewelry
🍫 There are also handmade chocolate, honey, and jam, and the tastings are very generous
🎨 You can also see the artist painting live, and chatting with him is like making a friend
Last time I bought a kangaroo-shaped wooden keychain made by a local designer. It’s so cute!
There is also a natural fragrance spray that I mix myself, and I am reluctant to use it up even now.
🎷 With occasional street music performances on the roadside, the whole atmosphere is very comfortable~
You can enjoy a leisurely stroll while sipping a Flat White, completely stress-free.
The market here is not as "touristy" as other places.
Instead, it feels like quietly telling a story.
The cobblestone road makes a sound when you step on it, and the air is filled with the aroma of roasteries and coffee.
As you walk, you will see artists' paintings, a handmade soap shop, and a century-old bar.
My favorite place to take photos is at the corner of Harbour View Hotel.
Because you can see the steel silhouette of the Harbour Bridge there, it feels like a movie.
🕯 It is recommended to arrange 1-2 hours to stroll around slowly.
Don’t be impatient, you will find that this place has more soul than any check-in spot.
Market hours: Saturday and Sunday from about 10:00 to 17:00
It's located in the heart of the Rocks, close to George Street, just off Circular Quay. The Rocks Weekend Markets
