I was fortunate to attend the opening ceremony of Shenzhen Qianhai OCT St. Regis Hotel~ Staying in the hotel's 90-square-meter St. Regis Suite, from the butler service to the delicious food and wine, every moment at the St. Regis made me feel what the "polishing of details" of a luxury hotel means. When you enter the hotel lobby, you will first be attracted by the 8-meter-high bronze pavilion. The designer, Mr. Fu Houmin, integrated the charm of the two cities of Shenzhen and New York into this building. The spacious space, artistic decorations, and meticulous attention to detail make you feel like you want to stay here all day as soon as you walk in. Speaking of food, let’s start with the exquisite afternoon tea at [Xian Yi Lang]～ ☕️The latte is rich and the scones are freshly baked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I really like the lobster caviar green beans and caviar sandwiches🥪, which are both creative and classic. The foie gras mousse has a smooth and delicate texture. One bite of it will make you feel relaxed. 🍳Hotel breakfast: Shrimp dumplings, siu mai, Benedict eggs, Shunde fish paste porridge, wonton noodles. These are authentic and delicious, and are exactly what I think of as a "comfortable breakfast". Especially the freshly made Cantonese wonton noodles, with its delicious soup base and chewy noodles, I really want to have another bowl! 🥣Dinner: I tried the Cantonese cuisine at [Yan Ting Chinese Restaurant]. The roast pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the spinach and fish maw soup was nourishing and filling, and the beef pot with golden tripe was sour and spicy, which was a good choice for appetizers. The caviar tofu has a crispy skin and soft tofu inside, which is very satisfying. 🍸St. Regis Bar: "Bay Area Mary" specialty cocktail🍹I have tried it for everyone. The aroma of lychee and osmanthus is fresh and not greasy, and it feels very refreshing! The bar atmosphere is also a plus, full of art, and it is suitable for relaxing here at night.

Sometimes when I see photos of hotel rooms, I can guess it's Tony's work by the arrangement of mirrors and some French aesthetic features, and now I can recognize Andre's work by some shapes and lines. Being able to establish one's own design system and language is a great compliment to a designer, and it is a testament to their time-tested strength. ◆ Most of the luxury hotels in Shenzhen before could be summarized in the following four sentences: design without view, view without design, height but far from the sea, close to the sea but not tall enough. The reason why I am so fond of the St. Regis Qianhai is that its hardware and conditions have not fallen into this strange circle. New Hotel in Shenzhen: The St. Regis | Weekend Staycation Spot ||| I stayed at the newly opened St. Regis Hotel in Qianhai after the New Year. Here's my honest review: [Location] It's quite close to two shopping malls, about a 10-minute walk. There's also a large square nearby where many people go for morning jogs. [Room] I could see the Ferris wheel 🎡 from the side of my room. I was pleasantly surprised that they provided makeup remover (quite rare for hotels). [Environment] The reception is on the 35th floor. As soon as the elevator doors open, you can see a statue of a female figure. Walking towards check-in, you can see a wide, high-altitude view. It's like walking in the clouds. This hotel also has many art installations, so I expect many people will come to take photos 🤳. [Restaurants] 1️⃣ Steakhouse: Located on the 51st floor, but still under renovation. I took a tour, and it looks great. The popular restroom is also in this restaurant. 2️⃣ Open-air rooftop bar (great night view): It's a bit like the experience of a high-altitude bar in Central, Hong Kong. There's also a Chinese restaurant with private rooms available for reservation. 3️⃣ Yan Ting: The Chinese restaurant on the 34th floor, where breakfast is served during the day. It has a Japanese courtyard style, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is quite comfortable. On the other side, there are 5 private rooms that can be reserved for gatherings. 4️⃣ The Lobby Lounge: The first photo I posted is of the Lobby Lounge, a place for afternoon tea and coffee. It's not officially open yet, but it has a European architectural style. 5️⃣ The Lobby Bar: I love this one! It has a retro, vintage, old Shanghai vibe. But it's only open at night!! However, it's even more beautiful for photos during the day haha 😆. Overall, it's better to wait a while before visiting this hotel! The experience will be even better then.

It is located in the southwest corner of the building, with an excellent floor plan structure, allowing the living room and bedroom to have a 270-degree beautiful view, with an unobstructed view of Qianhai Bay and Shenzhen Sea. Just for this view, it is really worthy of praise! The main color of the suite has changed from the green of the guest room to blue. The room is dotted with royal blue furniture and ornaments, which has a great texture. The suite is not large, but it has all the necessary functions.
