A 3 day escape, we stayed at The Star Casino Broadbeach Queensland. The room and location are great, as you are only 10 minutes from Surfers Paradise and 5 minutes from Broadbeach. You are staying above the casino and restaurants, and there is on-site car parking. The staff were friendly and helpful, and room services were 24 hours, and the room we had was very clean and large. This restaurant has been awarded as the Best Chinese Restaurant QLD or Australia for years. Chef Song has more than 30 years’ experience working with and perfecting Asian cuisine. We went there for lunch(yum cha) and we found it quite busy as some people were queuing outside the restaurant. Luckily we had reserved our table. We ordered our tea first and then we looked through the menu before we ordered. The menu is very comprehensive. We ordered Turnip Puff Pastry, Chicken Spring Rolls, Deep Fried Taro Dumplings, Abalone Dumplings, Prawn Dumplings, Spinach, Crab and Prawn Dumplings, Salt & Pepper Soft-Shell Crab and Prawn Rice Noodle Roll wrapped with Crispy Bean Curd. All were very tasty and the spot on for us was the rice noodle roll. The staffs were attentive and the ambience was good too. We enjoyed our lunch there and definitely will go back. Visited this award winning Japanese restaurant for a celebration dinner with my partner. Make sure you make your reservation as it’s very popular. I remembered we made the reservation 2 weeks before the dinner. We had the special set menu and we really enjoyed every one of them. The WAGYU 7+ tenderloin was just spot on, it’s so delicious! Besides the food, the staffs, the ambiance were also nice. We were very happy with our dining experience here. It’s a bit pricy but worth for a celebration. No doubt the restaurant won so many awards. Remarks: 1. We went there a year ago so maybe they have updated their menu. 2. Booking is a MUST!
