The hotel has a rich heritage culture. There is a Malay school beside the hotel. Hence you would hear the talking of students in the morning. The two storey hotel is well preserved and renovated. Though the hotel rooms are small at the size of 15m2, the high ceiling of the room makes up for it. They serve wide range of French-Malayan Fusion Cuisines, from dishes to desserts in the choices. We ordered the most recommended dishes to try in, the tastes are amazingly delicious. Avg. #thingstodo The sultan plaza is a place that you should not miss out on, if you are having your stay at the sultan hotel or the hotel 81 heritage hotel which is located opposite the sultan plaza .The sultan plaza has many local cafes where you can try out the local dishes. There are also shops selling fishing equipment and florist shops there too . There is even an eating place where you can try out local food as well as Korean and Japanese dishes. You can visit the mall during the afternoon there. You can also grab small bites within the plaza too.

#thingstodo The sultan hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the bugis train station. The vintage heritage hotel has a mix of Malay and European style. The rooms are of a smaller size but the location makes up for it. You can get to the popular bugis junction and the bugis street within a ten minute walk. There are many restaurants along the hotel. You can even walk to the arab street to try out some Turkish and Lebanon cuisine such as the kebah dish. The arab street would be quite crowded from the evening time as more pubs will be opened and you have a drink there.

It depicts the time where the people staying here are living in a forest Kampong area with many various wild life creatures. It also shows that hardship that the people in the past have to go through.
