Just been to Tianjin! Tianjin City Walk Guide
🚴It’s not impossible to take citywalk, but taking a taxi intermittently is more cost-effective. I read a lot of guides that said you can bike the whole way, but the distance between each attraction is 2km, so it's really tiring to walk all day. If the navigation shows no traffic jam, it is recommended to take a taxi to the next main attraction (Tianjin Old Town is very congested, and sometimes taking a taxi is not as fast as riding a bicycle)
⛱️Must-visit attractions: This time I checked in: Tai'an Road British Style District Century Clock Square
Fifth Avenue Commercial Street (Nanjing Road Branch) Fifth Avenue recommends a horse-drawn carriage tour or a rickshaw to listen to history for a more immersive experience.
The Lion Grove Bridge is worth watching for the grandpas and ladies diving in the afternoon. The Jintang Bridge is very close to Deyun Club and the two and a half hours of crosstalk is worth watching.
The 50 yuan ticket for the Porcelain House is really not worth entering.
🏨Accommodation tips: The newest five-star hotel in the area is Conrad Tianjin, which is near the water park and TV tower. It offers authentic Tianjin snacks for breakfast.
Jiefang Bridge St. Regis Tianjin Financial Street Hotel St. Regis, Daguangming Bridge Shangri-La Hotel Tianjin Shangri-La, Fifth Avenue Westin Tianjin Westin, Century Clock Atour Hotel Tianjin Eye
The must-see crosstalk show [Deyun Club] is near the Jiefang Bridge and the Jingang Bridge, close to the Italian area. The whole journey takes 2.5 hours. You need to book tickets in advance or through second-hand channels.
I recommend taking a horse-drawn carriage or rickshaw around Fifth Avenue. I booked a fare of 150 yuan per car, which included a tour guide.
It is not far from the Fifth Avenue to Xikai Church by bike.
🍜Food tips: There is a steamed dumpling shop next door where locals go to eat.
There is nothing much to see in the Ancient Culture Street and Drum Tower. They are just a concentration of small commercial shops in the unified scenic area.
The main routes of CityWalk are concentrated along the river.
Daguangming Bridge: The "Daguangming" bridge that combines the sun, moon, stars and planets (bridgehead)
——Along the way: Tai'an Road, turn in from the side of the Lishun Hotel, Jiefang North Park, Tai'an Road Five Courtyards, and Anglican Church are just in front of you, as if you are walking on the streets of Europe
Jinhui Bridge: A sailing lighthouse on the Haihe River
——Along the way: Jiefang North Road, my favorite road! "Oriental Wall Street", a collection of over a hundred years of Western architecture
Chifeng Bridge: A bridge that looks like a UFO
Jiefang Bridge: the most dazzling retractable bridge on the Haihe River, a city landmark
——Along the way: Jinwan Square (you can also take a quick stroll around the National Library of China Jinwan), Century Clock, Tianjin Railway Station, all gathered in one panoramic view, it’s so concentrated!
Dagu Bridge: The large and small arches symbolize the sun
——Along the way: Tianjin, Tianjin Tower
Lion Grove Bridge: A bridge where hundreds of majestic and cute lions gather
! ! ! Every afternoon, grandpa and aunt go diving
——Along the way: Wanghailou Church
