In 2025, what is the best place to have fun in Hangzhou Baita Park in spring?
Prince Bay in Hangzhou in spring has become the "top spring attraction" in Hangzhou. About half of the nearly 400,000 tulips in the entire Prince Bay Park have bloomed, especially in the Xiaoyaopo area, which has become a "secret tulip realm". Any shot will turn out to be a blockbuster!
In addition, seven tulip floating islands have been built in the Yulu Pond of Prince Bay Park. They are arranged in the shape of the Big Dipper, which complement the real Big Dipper on the dome. A careful check-in will give you a pleasant surprise! However, because the tulips in Prince Bay are about to enter their peak flowering period, there will be huge crowds of people visible to the naked eye, so you must plan your travel time and itinerary well.
So the question is, after visiting the Prince Bay Tulip Flower Show, where is more fun? I recommend everyone to come to Hangzhou's "Sakura Train Land", which has three highlights for free. Come and check it out while there are few people!
What I want to talk about is Hangzhou Baita Park, which is famous for the "White Pagoda" in the park. The "White Pagoda" is about 15 meters high. It is an octagonal pavilion-style tower building with layer-by-layer divisions. It has moderate proportions, deep eaves, gentle rises, and beautiful and upright contours. In 1937, Liang Sicheng wrote the article "The White Pagoda at Zhakou and the Twin Stone Pagodas at Lingyin Temple", bringing the "White Pagoda" into people's field of vision!
In modern times, the construction of Jiangshu Railway started in 1906 and the railway was opened to traffic in 1907. From south to north, there were five stations: Zhakou, Nanxing, Qingtai, Genshan and Gongchen. The starting station at the southern end, Zhakou Station, is located in the current Baita Park.
With the continuous renovation of Baita Park, it has become a place with highlights such as the White Pagoda, Baita Historical and Cultural Exhibition Hall, Southern Song Dynasty Geographical Square, gantry crane, Hangzhou Railway Museum Educated Youth Memorial Hall, Zhejiang Province (Hangzhou City) Anti-Drug Education Hall, and children's playground.
Now in the spring of 2025, the cherry blossoms, apricot blossoms, magnolias, snow willows and other flowers in Baita Park have bloomed one after another. For a while, Baita Park was transformed into a "cherry blossom train site". The small train slowly travels among the cherry blossoms, forming a "classic spring scene" in Hangzhou!
There are three highlights for those who come to visit;
First, take photos. Now the apricot blossoms in Baita Park are in full bloom, which is very suitable for taking photos and checking in. You can bring more props to look better in the photogenic style!
Second, the train. If you are tired of visiting the park or are traveling with children, you can take a ride on the "small train". The fee is 20 yuan, and children under 1 meter are free.
Third, for visiting, as we mentioned before, there are also the "Hangzhou Railway Museum Educated Youth Memorial Hall" and the "Zhejiang Province (Hangzhou City) Anti-Drug Education Hall" in Baita Park. The former uses modern multimedia means to display the century-old development history of the railway and to understand the culture of educated youth; the latter combines physical exhibitions, audio and video playback, picture displays, animation performances, touch-screen interactions and other forms to incorporate serious anti-drug theme education into a vivid display experience, which is well worth a visit.
If you are tired of shopping, you can also go to the cafe [Twilight City Café] on the 3rd floor of "Longmen Crane" in the middle of Baita Park. Not only does it have an open-air view, but you can also enjoy the cherry blossoms from a high altitude, which is very pleasant. And you can go to Mihai Rail Train Theme Restaurant (Baita Park Branch) to dine, take photos and check in!
In addition, the cherry blossoms in Hangzhou Baita Park will be in full bloom around March 26, 2025. Friends who want to see the full bloom can choose a good time!
