[2025 Nanjo Hotels] Travel Guide for The Yuinchi Hotel Nanjo (Updated Jun)

Our stay at Yuinchi Hotel Nanjo was one of the most memorable parts of our Okinawa trip, and much of that had to do with the Apeman Spa Natural Hot Spring, the hotel’s in-house onsen. Located on top of a hill, the hotel offers sweeping views of the coastline and surrounding landscape—absolutely breathtaking at sunrise and sunset. Parking was hassle-free, with plenty of free spaces just across from the main building. The hotel itself is large, well-maintained, and has a calm resort-like vibe with many amenities suitable for families. Our room was surprisingly spacious by Japanese standards, clean, and included a private balcony that let us enjoy the views even from the comfort of our room. Robes and yukata were provided, but only one set despite us having three kids. When we asked for more at the front desk, they mentioned a charge, so we skipped it and let the kids head to the onsen in their pajamas—no problem at all. Now onto the highlight: Apeman Spa Natural Hot Spring. The walk to the spa building was short and easy. Inside, the onsen was stunning—clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly relaxing. We truly appreciated the indoor and outdoor bath options, especially with the refreshing Okinawan air and tranquil views. After a long day, it was the perfect way to unwind. Breakfast at Restaurant Sunpeer was also great—plenty of variety, and we were lucky to get a window seat which elevated the whole experience. Watching the morning light flood the ocean while enjoying breakfast with the family was unforgettable. All in, Yuinchi Hotel Nanjo exceeded expectations with its spacious rooms, friendly service, and top-notch onsen. During our stay at Yuinchi Hotel Nanjo, we had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Restaurant Sunpeer—and it turned out to be one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had. What made it extra memorable wasn’t just the wide variety of dishes (both Japanese and Western), but the spectacular panoramic views from the dining area. With huge windows looking out over Nanjo’s rolling hills and lush greenery, every bite felt even more enjoyable. The buffet had something for everyone—from fresh fruit, soft pastries, and made-to-order omelettes to warm miso soup and perfectly seasoned grilled fish. The kids loved the selection, and we all left feeling fueled and content for the day ahead. The peaceful ambience, friendly staff, and breathtaking scenery made for the perfect start to each morning. In February, when housing prices in Okinawa were rising, we had no choice but to stay in the suburbs to save on accommodation costs. . Although the Nancheng Nanjo Hotel is not very new and is a bit mottled and old, and has carpets that I don't like, the interior is really clean, without any damp or musty smell, and the public hot spring pool it provides is a real hot spring, not just an ordinary swimming pool. You can see the outdoor sea view while bathing. It is really comfortable and you can soak for a long time. After soaking, go to the lounge bar on the rooftop, drink coffee, eat snacks, and look at the coast outside. It really is a resort hotel. I really recommend that you come here to take a bath and stay at a cheap price.

This is a hot spring that is open to non-guests. Unfortunately, you can't take photos inside, but you can get a discount if you bring your own bath towel and towel, so you can get a good deal. There is a place to relax after the bath, and since it is located on high ground, you can see the townscape of Chinen and enjoy the best views both day and night.
