Theatina Church (Theatiner Church St. Kajetan) is a church in Munich, Germany, built by the Bavarian Elector Ferdinand Maria from 1663 to 1690 to celebrate the long-awaited royal heir, Prince Birth of Maximilian II. The church is Italian Baroque, imitating the Basilica of Sant'Andreadella Valle in Rome, and has a pair of 71-meter-high domed twin towers. The rococo-style façade was completed by François de Cuvilliers more than 70 years later, and its Mediterranean appearance and yellow coloration became a famous symbol of the city and had a great influence on the Baroque architecture of southern Germany.
