Tianning Temple, formerly known as Dazangyuan, was built during the Dazhong Xiangfu period (1008-1016) of the Northern Song Dynasty and was named "Chengtian Temple". It was called Tianning Temple during the Zhenghe period (1111-1118). In the eighth year of Shaoxing (1138 AD) of Emperor Gaozong of Song Dynasty, it was named "Bao'en Guang Temple" to worship his father, Emperor Huizong, and later changed to "Bao'en Guang Temple". Only the main hall of Tianning Temple remains. It was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1988. The main hall of Tianning Temple is one of the typical existing wooden structures of the Yuan Dynasty in southern my country. It is three rooms wide and deep, with a single-eaved hip roof. Under the three beams on the east side of the center of the main hall, there is a double-hooked ink inscription "Reconstruction on the auspicious day of Gengshen in the sixth month of the fifth year of Yanyou in the Great Yuan Dynasty". Carbon-14 dating shows that some of the columns are a thousand years old, and some beams, beams and brackets are eight hundred years old. This shows that when this hall was rebuilt in the Yuan Dynasty, some of the Song Dynasty wooden components were retained. In terms of beam structure, the main hall also retains the architectural style and characteristics of the Song Dynasty. The main building of Tianning Temple is Lingxiao Pagoda, and there are several pavilions outside the temple, which complement each other. The temples in the temple collapsed in the early years, and Lingxiao Pagoda is an important relic. Most of the existing materials are wood, so it is commonly known as a wooden pagoda. Lingxiao Pagoda is an octagonal pavilion-style building. Because it is tall and straight, reaching into the clouds, it is named Lingxiao.
