Tinganes is the office area of the Faroe Islands government. The area of the peninsula is not large. There are very beautiful straw-roofed huts and red stone and wood buildings on the island. Most of them were rebuilt after the fire in 1673. very beautiful.

My lovely trip in Faroe Islands 🗺️
#islands
This summer, I ventured to the Faroe Islands, and it was like stepping into a world untouched by time. The raw, natural beauty of the islands is something I’ll never forget. My journey began in Tórshavn, the charming capital, where I wandered through the quaint old town, Tinganes, with its iconic red wooden houses. The best part? Just walking around and soaking in the atmosphere is completely free.
One of the highlights was a hike to the stunning Sørvágsvatn lake, which appears to hang over the ocean in a mind-bending optical illusion. The entrance fee to hike in the area was around 200 DKK (about €27), and the views were worth every penny. The dramatic cliffs, rolling green hills, and misty skies felt straight out of a fantasy novel.
I also took a boat tour to see the famous sea stacks at Drangarnir. The towering rock formations rising from the ocean were absolutely awe-inspiring. The boat ride cost about 450 DKK (around €60), and it was an incredible way to experience the wild coastline.
The Faroe Islands are a dream for anyone who loves rugged landscapes and unspoiled nature. It’s a place that feels like a well-kept secret, and I can’t wait to return. 🌍🌊 #trip #FaroeIslands #NordicAdventure #WildNature #HikingHeaven #BucketListTrip

Once you enter the painting, you cannot come out.
🍁This is the Faroe Islands, a paradise hidden in Denmark. Gravel, volcanic rocks, dwarf trees, meadows, sheep, lighthouses, farmhouses... There is a sense of isolation from the world. Entering the Faroe Islands is like entering a paradise. It is really hard not to love it.
The island features lush valleys, towering basalt cliffs, vast treeless wilderness and waterfalls that tumble directly into the roaring ocean.
