[2025 Singapore Attraction] Travel Guide for Toa Payoh Town Park (Updated May)

Established in the 1970s, Toa Payoh town park was known to be a popular site for taking wedding photos in the 1970s and 1980s which includes my parents as well! After undergoing refurbishment in 1997, it has become a multipurpose venue suitable for all ages. There are glass patches for picnics, multipurpose hall for people to organise activities such as various workout routines. You can even take a tik tok dance video here! The landscape ponds and mini waterfall makes it a good place to rest and relax. If you are hungry after a good workout, there is a seafood restaurant right next to the park to satisfy your hunger. #singaporetrip #mysgmemories #summerbreak #singapore #tripblazers

Bread code is one of my favourite shops to buy bread. Not only do they sell bread, tarts, pie, puff, Kuehs, they also prepare freshly made pancakes as per your request. The pancake is hot and crispy. You can add on peanut butter, strawberry syrup, or even chocolate cream, according to your taste bud. For their bread, they have a wide selection. Choose from curry, coconut, blueberry cheese, Kaya, chocolate, coffee, and other flavours. There is one that fits your taste buds. I love living in Singapore as there are no lack of free things that you could do with kids. It can get expensive bringing up children in Singapore, but there are always fun and exciting free things to do with them in Singapore. One such place to bring your kiddos is Play @ Heights Park located in the Toa Payoh estate. This is such a fabulous place to bring the kids as it’s a big park with a waterplay area, sand pit with flying fox, trampolines and a playground for more adventurous kids. It is a popular place so it could get pretty crowded during the weekends, but is very quiet on the weekdays. Parking is ample if you drive and there are showers next to the Waterplay area. There are also toilets located next door at the Community Centre which many playground do not have. Come bring your kids here and I’m sure they will have a ball of a time! #singapore

#celebratewithtrip if you are looking for a place to chill near Toa Payoh Lorong 2, and prefer an air con environment without burning a hole in your wallet, then do consider wee xiang cafe. it has a variety of food items like zi char, duck rice, chicken rice, char siew rice and even desserts at a reasonable price. recommended to try their coffee as it is good. in the afternoon next time, will be back to try their ice cream and waffles. just 5.90 and you can get waffles with two scoops of ice cream for dine in. it’s located within a community centre which explains its low price point I guess. address wee xiang cafe 200 Lor 2 Toa Payoh, #01-07 West Community Club, Singapore 319642

Address - SAFRA Club, 293 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, #03-02, Singapore 319387 It is quite easy to apply to be a member of this club called SAFRA. They have very comprehensive facilities within the different branches all across the country. For example, they have swimming pools, squash courts, badminton courts and even billiard rooms. Also, you can find many dining establishments with a variety of cuisines available. If you want to send your child for enrichments classes, this is the place that has all this under one roof. Night markets like these are quite unique and special because not only were there the usual stuff like food, clothes and craft stalls, there was a focus of spoken poetry as well. It was a great platform for poetry lovers to both perform and to enjoy as an audience member. We really liked the lively atmosphere of the place that was full of fairy lights and the fresh smells of baked pastries. Was a wonderful ambience to appreciate the moving performances of the various artists. Address - Jubilee Garden Chinese Restaurant, 293 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, #03-01, Singapore 319387 Not many people know about this restaurant nestled within the SAFRA building on level 3. They serve full course Chinese meals with premium ingredients at a fairly reasonable cost. It is also available to book for large banquets or reunion dinners. I was quite amazed at the quality and taste of the food! It was unexpectedly delicious despite the mostly uneventful presentations. Definitely a hidden gem to explore. Located on level 3 of the building, it is fairly easy to find. Prices differ depending on whether you’re paying per game or per hour. It’s quite an awesome place to spend the day as there is a bistro within the bowling alley, so meals are easily covered. For the kids, you can engage them with the Daytona inspired car racing games at the corner. #cherryblossom2024 If you are looking for a small sized food festival to attend , there is one at the toa payoh area. You will have to buy their coupon to use them to enjoy the wide range of food. There is the crispy sweet pork meat , the marinated soya sauce chicken with black fungus ear, the Yong tai fu which is the local flavours, where the meat is pushed in and stuffed into in between the vegetables such as bittergourd and chili's. There is also the famous abacus yam cake and the famous braised pork belly with the preserved mustard green vegetables . You can have a wide range of various food on a lunch day.

#cherryblossom2024 The kinship statue is placed at toa payoh Lorong two park. Here is a great place to spend your weekends with your children if you are staying nearby this area. The toa payoh park has several playgrounds whereby your children would definitely like to play there. There are several sitting areas for the parents to rest while chit chatting with their friends. You will definitely be able to find a good spot there. The park is a great place to relax in the neighbourhood. Be sure to visit here on your trip here.

You look around and find yourself in a beautiful park on a gorgeous fall day. The leaves are a vivid red, orange, and yellow that make you feel like your eyes are drinking in all of nature's beauty. There's a sense of calm as you walk through the park with your dog. You can't believe you've been missing out on this for so long! Toa Payoh Town Park is easily one of my favourite parks to visit in Singapore. You should definitely add this in your list of parks to visit during this fall.

They even put on display various miniature versions of the vehicles that our national service men use. Nearer to the entrance, you can admire the hand-drawn mural that celebrates all that is iconically Singapore. If you get peckish along the way, there are some restaurants you can patronize for some yummy food too.
