The tomb of Prince Yide is the tomb of Emperor Gaozong Li Zhi and Wu Zetian's grandson, Tang Zhongzong Li Xian and the eldest son of Queen Wei Li Chongrun. It is an earthen tomb close to the Qianling Mausoleum, and it is also a large-scale, high-standard, emperor-level mausoleum among the Tang Dynasty tombs excavated so far. Prince Yide Li Chongrun was "killed" in Luoyang for discussing Wu Zetian's private life in his later years with his younger sister, Princess Yongtai, and brother-in-law Wu Yanji. In 705 AD, Emperor Zhongzong Li Xian ascended the throne and was posthumously named Crown Prince, posthumously named "Yide". In 706 AD, his coffin was moved from Luoyang to Shaanxi, "the tomb is a mausoleum", and the Qianling Mausoleum was buried with the emperor's ceremony. The tomb passage is 100.8 meters long and 3.9 meters wide. It consists of tomb passages, six passage holes, seven patios, eight private rooms, front and rear corridors, and front and rear tomb chambers. The most valuable part of the tomb is the frescoes. These murals are rich in content, colorful and full of life, fully showing the momentum and environment of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, providing important material materials for the study of the history and culture of the Tang Dynasty, and also showing people the superb artistic attainments of the painters of the Tang Dynasty. And nearly 1,300 years ago, China had a highly developed level of painting.
