Xiamen Yangma Mountain Forest Park Travel Guide! Super detailed!
Xiamen Yangma Mountain Forest Park is located in Tingxi Town, Tong'an District. It is a park transformed from an abandoned mine, covering an area of more than 500 acres. The essence of the scenic spot is the artificial lake formed by the mine pit. When there is no wind, the lake surface is as flat as a mirror, and the cliffs are reflected in the water, just like a natural watercolor painting. In addition to the mine pit lake, the park also has an ecological leisure square and a wide bicycle lane (which is also a hiking trail), suitable for both activities and relaxation. The complete bicycle lane goes around the waist of the mountain, so all hiking trails are connected to the bicycle lane. Remember this and you won't get lost easily.
You can drive directly to 'Yangma Mountain Forest Park' and arrive at the south entrance parking lot. Recommended hiking route: Proceed along the stone road on the east side of the parking lot (picture two, lush with green grass after several days of rain), and when you reach a fork, go left up the mountain (if you continue east, you can reach the Guangyao Qianzai Corridor and the leisure square). After encountering a signpost (picture three), head towards the waterfall and mine pit lake (it is recommended not to climb the mountain from the stone steps in picture four), follow the red bicycle lane all the way to the waterfall spot (pictures five and six, most of the time there is no waterfall, but there is a pavilion for resting), then continue along the bicycle lane to the mine pit lake, first admire the small pond of water lilies (pictures seven and eight), then enjoy the lake and mountains by the lake, and then cross the lake, walk out of a low mountain gate (picture seventeen, looking back at the mountain gate, with the words 'A Different World' written on it), and see the bicycle lane again, go left, and a few minutes later on the left you can see the stone steps going up the mountain. If you want to climb to the top of the mountain, follow these stone steps upwards, otherwise continue along the bicycle lane, and follow the signpost instructions back to the south entrance. It takes about ten minutes to reach the top of the mountain, where there is a simple pavilion that is too plain, and even if you climb to the second floor of the pavilion, you cannot see the mine pit lake, as the view is blocked by trees. After overlooking the surrounding scenery from the top of the mountain (picture eighteen), you can go down the mountain along the same way or another stone step path, and in the end, you will return to the bicycle lane. The other stone steps lead to picture four.
