"Let's Go Somewhere Else and See the World" Today's journey begins at Tongjun Mountain in Tonglu County, Hangzhou. This mountain is the mother mountain and the holy land of medicine in Tonglu. The name of "Tianzi Land" on the mountain comes from the birthplace of Emperor Wu of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Liu Yu. It has been more than a thousand years and has never been changed. The altitude is about 900 meters. We took the "Flying Carpet" and easily reached the top of the mountain. Then, along the winding mountain road, we encountered the unique landmark "Buddha's Hand" - Purple Ling's slender hand. Two huge white hands hold up the plank road, which is extremely spectacular. The fountain and the horn next to it are interesting. Shout loudly, and the fountain will rise with the sound, which is very interesting. There is also a 300-meter-long cloud ladder sky bridge, which is like a sky bridge across the valley, which is both exciting and a great place to watch the scenery. Tianzi Land Scenic Area also has Tianzi Cave, Zilong Gorge High-altitude Glass Drift, Sky Mirror and other projects. I was invited to Tonglu to attend a friend's wedding. It was already noon when I arrived at the hotel in the county town. I couldn't go too far, so my friend suggested taking a walk in the nearby Tongjun Mountain. Tongjun Mountain⛰️ is located in Tonglu Town, only separated from the county seat by a river, and the transportation is quite convenient. After reading the introduction of the scenic spot, I learned that Tongjun Mountain is called Mother Mountain by the locals. It is also a place where the ancestor of Chinese medicine, Tongjun, is said to have settled down. Tongjun Mountain is not high in altitude and you can climb the mountain from both sides🛤️. I had a minor injury on my leg, so we chose to go up from the relatively flat Qili Yangfan Cruise Terminal⛵️. Standing on the top of the mountain, overlooking the confluence of Fuchun River and Tianmu Creek, and enjoying the lush green scenery between the mountains and waters, it is a very pleasant time. In addition to the white tower on the top of the mountain displaying statues of famous doctors from past dynasties, there is also a unique Shuyu Coffee that uses Song Dynasty cups to serve coffee☕️, where you can feel the collision and exchange of Chinese and Western cultures. My friend also took me, a foreign tourist, to experience the "Spring River Sailing". We took a cruise to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Fuchun River in Tonglu City 🏞️, and also to see the new look of Tonglu city. Are you like me, tired of the hustle and bustle of the city 🏙️, and instead like the silence in the mountains and wilderness, where you can relax while traveling and enjoying the scenery? The weather has finally cleared up recently, so I took advantage of the weekend to visit a travel destination mentioned by National Geographic - Tonglu. When you come to Tonglu, you must go to Tongjun Mountain. Nature is so magical, it has its unique beauty all year round. No wonder even Deng Chao and Sun Li came to check in! Yacht Marina I drove here by myself and followed the navigation. It was easy to find. Next to Ye Qianyu's former residence is the 🅿️ and yacht ⛵ station. It was still early so I took a cruise to enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Fuchun River. I didn't expect that I would "book it all" 😆. I don't know if it's because the river flows in different directions, dividing the river into two colors. Standing on the boat, you can see the panoramic view of Tongjun Mountain. If you don't want to return by the same route, you can get off the boat at Jiangnan, which is also a stop. The captain said it is a newly established route, and you can go to Tongjun Mountain via the Tongjun Cableway. The Holy Land of Medicine Ancestor There is also a legend here: It is said that an old man named Tongjun was ordered by Emperor Huangdi to seek medical advice. On the way, Tongjun was intoxicated by the beautiful scenery in the mountains and stopped here. He collected herbs and made elixirs in the mountains and wrote "Tongjun's Record of Collecting Herbs". Later generations revered him as the "ancestor of Chinese medicine". Tongjun Mountain is also known as the "Holy Land of Medicine Ancestor". There is also a stone tablet of the ancestor of Chinese medicine at the entrance🪦 Ye Qianyu's Former Residence I didn't know that the former residence of the famous painter Ye Qianyu was here until I came here. It turns out that he was also from Tonglu. Tongjun Mountain is not very high. The herringbone-shaped mountain trail makes people feel not so tired. It is really surrounded by green trees. During the climb, we came across many stone tablets, both ancient and modern. Some of the words were blurred, while some were clear. They were generally related to the history, culture and people of Tongjun Mountain. Red House🏘️ This is a popular check-in spot. You can stop here and take more photos. The effect is different from each angle. Walking here is the top of the mountain! Shuyu Coffee☕️: It is the first coffee shop in Tonglu named after the Tonglu poet Shuyu☕️. The interior of the store is decorated in ancient style, and you can see the entire Fuchun River from outside the store. I specially tried the store’s special antidote coffee. All my worries and troubles can be swept away when I come here. The collision brought by the combination of Chinese and Western cultures brings a different coffee experience! Tongjun Temple Tongjun Temple is right in front of you. After drinking coffee, you can also go to Tongjun Temple to worship and ring the bell to pray for blessings. Sincere prayers will be answered. The exterior of Tongjun Temple is a little different from what you see on the Internet. It should have been upgraded. There is also a landmark building on the top of the mountain - the White Pagoda. When you go down the mountain, you can walk straight along the Tongjun Temple. You will pass by the red walls and white tiles. This is also a check-in point. From here, you can go directly to another entrance and exit of Tongjun Mountain. If you have enough time, you can walk on the Tongjun Mountain Cable Bridge, where you can see another different view. The night view of Tongjun Mountain is even more beautiful, but unfortunately I didn’t wait until night due to limited time. However, this regret is for preparation for the next visit. I look forward to visiting Tongjun Mountain again!
