The tranquility before the cable car departure
This afternoon I went to a coffee shop that was famous for the cable car. However, due to the renovation of the cable car, it has become a sparsely populated and quiet coffee shop. There were no customers when I entered the store, so I could enjoy my time alone, relax, and check in continuously.
Location: Above the cable car station, next to the cable car renovation project. Just go up the small slope to get there.
Environment: There is an antique door at the front. Once it is opened, you will step into the sales counter full of commercial atmosphere. Then you will turn to the counter where dishes are served and orders are placed. On the left hand side is the window where you can see the cable car. There are a few potted plants arranged. However, there are white boards stuck on the table, which is a bit of an eyesore! The corner is the check-in spot, with a European-style fake stove, books and old-time ornaments, and a large dim chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Because there is a large window, there is plenty of light. It feels like entering a British family in the movie world and having a home-cooked meal. There is also an outdoor dining area with two check-in seats.
Service: Self-service, you can order and pick up your own plates. There is also a self-service water bar and ice cream cabinet. It’s a pity that there was no coffee provided that day.
Lunch: Set meals are available, and the price is cheaper than normal coffee shops. In fact, it is a bit like student meals, and the tableware used is all plastic.
Japanese Curry Beef Rice $49
The portion is normal, with a small bowl of blanched mixed vegetables. The beef and potatoes are soft enough, the curry tastes ordinary, and the overall taste is average. Don't have any expectations, after all, you don't come here for the food!
Red bean ice $20 (with meal price)
There are a lot of red beans, and they are cooked soft enough, but not mushy. Each grain is still distinct. Then blend them into milk and drink it. It is really good!
But I believe that after the cable car opens, this place will regain its former prosperity, so I won’t come to disturb you!
