Close to the business district of the mansion, there is such a corner that has not been seen and familiar to everyone. When you actually walk into it, you will find it seems to cross into another time and space. Yes, it is carrying the historical memory of Taipei, and it is also the last place to break the building - treasure rock. Treasure rock has been raging because of the demolition problem. Along the hillside, a large piece of old houses that can be seen here were mostly built during the Japanese occupation. In order to beautify the city, the Taipei City Government in 1980 wanted to demolish this area. However, after the active appeals and efforts of all walks of life, it was possible to preserve the treasure rocks. Treasure rock was listed in the designated historical building list by the municipal government in 2004. In 2010, this area was also planned as the Treasure Rock International Art Village, officially opening the settlement mode of the symbiosis. and this model of symbiosis has attracted the attention of Taiwanese and even global writers and artists. In order to fully revitalize the treasure rock, the relevant departments actively promote cooperation with international art organizations, attracting more than 20 artists from all over the world to enter here every year. They create, live, and carry out a series of artistic activities here, and interact with local residents to better understand and pull in the distance from the community of Treasure Rock.

Located near Gongguan in Taipei, Treasure Hill Artist Village boasts a rich artistic atmosphere and historical background that captivates visitors as soon as they step in. The location is very accessible, just a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of Gongguan MRT Station. If you are driving, there are dedicated parking lots nearby for your convenience. This place is a fusion of history and art, preserving the traces of old Taipei while brimming with modern artistic creativity and vitality. First Impressions of Treasure Hill: A Blend of History and Culture Originally, Treasure Hill was a settlement built along the mountain, with the earliest structure being the Treasure Hill Temple built during the Qing Dynasty, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. Later, it gradually became an illegal settlement for immigrants, with narrow alleys and stacked houses forming a complex maze. Today, this old community has been transformed into an international artist village full of artistic vibes - old buildings combined with modern creations, perfectly blending the old and the new. Every step you take, you'll encounter graffiti or art installations on the walls and alleys, as if stepping into a visual feast. Strolling Through the Artist Village: A Space of Infinite Creativity 1.
