Small but everything functions as it should and it’s a fine airport. The security check is fast and convenient. I am glad an airport exists here ! We managed to grab breakfast here before boarding. The airport staff was helpful.

It was a cold winter night in Tromsø, Norway, and the air was filled with anticipation. I had traveled thousands of miles, driven by a lifelong dream to witness the northern lights. As the evening sky darkened, I joined a small group of fellow adventurers, all bundled up in layers of warm clothing, ready for the night ahead.
We set off into the wilderness, leaving the city lights behind. Our guide, a local expert, led us to a secluded spot by a frozen lake. The silence was profound, broken only by the crunch of snow under our boots. We set up our cameras and waited, eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of the elusive aurora.
Hours passed, and the cold began to seep into our bones. Just as we were about to give up hope, a faint green glow appeared on the horizon. Excitement rippled through the group as the glow intensified, spreading across the sky in shimmering waves. The aurora borealis had arrived.
The lights danced above us, painting the sky with hues of green, pink, and purple. It was as if the heavens were putting on a private show just for us. I stood there, mesmerized, feeling a deep connection to the natural world. The beauty of the aurora was beyond anything I had imagined, a celestial ballet that left me in awe.

Tromsø Observation: South Beach
The first sight on the island is the Tromsø People's Park and South Beach at the southernmost end of the city.
In the harsh winter, there are no birds and flowers, only the howling sea breeze brushing past the face. The occasional knee-deep snow on the ground also reminds of the power of the cold.
The deeper feeling lies in desolation. The distant snow-capped mountains and the sea at hand are so quiet that they highlight how few people there are, how insignificant. The occasional tourists and the surrounding residents who are exercising against the wind have become the few of their kind seen this day.
Not until crossing the street and reaching the nearby Arctic University Museum, do you feel the long-lost warmth again.
