A dessert unique to Ibaraki, the number one producer of melons in Japan🍈🍨 "Whole Melon Cream Soda" 1,200 yen It's available 24 hours a day at the cafe next to the front desk, so it's recommended to eat it after sweating, such as after cycling or taking a bath🙆♀️ The seeds of the melon are hollowed out and the soda is in there, so you can eat it while scraping off the melon flesh🥄 The melon is actually frozen🤣 It has some sweet parts, but if you scrape off too much of the skin, it tastes a bit like melon? I stayed at Hoshino Resorts BEB5 Tsuchiura, a cyclist-friendly hotel that just opened in 2020! Directly connected to Tsuchiura Station, it has excellent access! As expected from Hoshino Resorts, the interior is stylish and fashionable. It seems to be a hotel for young people, and the services are minimal. (Pajamas are available for rental at a fee, and amenities are available at the front desk or by bringing your own. There is no restaurant in the hotel, so breakfast is provided at a cafe in the shopping mall directly connected to the hotel.) I went for the full experience — daytime hanami under the blossoms, sunset riverside strolls, and nighttime food stalls with sizzling yakitori and sweet sakura mochi. The river reflects the blossoms and lanterns, creating a glowing, dreamlike atmosphere. I went to Tsuchiura Castle Ruins🏯, which is a 15-minute walk from Tsuchiura Station!!! The castle itself is no longer there, but it has been turned into a park with the East and West Towers, a section, and a moat🛝 There are also gates remaining from the Edo period, so you can feel the atmosphere of a castle!!! This is a long-established sandwich shop. It has become a new, stylish store shortly after exiting the Tsuchiura Kita interchange. Tsujiya's specialty is the vermicelli sandwich. All of their products are delicious, but this one is a must-try. The bread is fluffy and the size is just right. The egg sandwich is made by hand-peeling boiled eggs and mixing them with seasonings. There are also several types of fruit sandwiches filled with plenty of seasonal fruits. When I stayed at BEB5 Tsuchiura, I also bought a delicious silk Mont Blanc🤤🧡 You can eat Mont Blanc made with Japanese chestnuts from Ibaraki Prefecture, and after ordering, they squeeze the silk Mont Blanc right in front of you, so you can enjoy a freshly made Mont Blanc!!! We cycled around Lake Kasumigaura♡ It felt great! Tsuchiura is known as a cycling town♡ There are several bicycle rental places at the station, and you can even bring your bike through the shops on the premises and in the station building! (^ ^) The area around the station is also well-maintained as a cycling road, so it's really easy to ride!! We rented electric bicycles at Hoshino Resort! 2500 yen for 3 hours♪ #Travelingwithme

I stayed at BEB Tsuchiura♡ In other posts, I mainly posted about the facilities and services, but this time I'm going to talk about the experience and the room❤️ About the experience: I was able to experience pedaling my own bike and completing it with a smoothie (800 yen)! It was fun(^ ^) There are currently four flavors, and I chose strawberry🍓 smoothie!
