Sometimes I have to admire the greatness of high-speed rail. Ten years ago, I had to take a 23-hour train ride from Shenzhen to get here! Now the high-speed railway station is built just 15 minutes away from the ancient city. It’s very convenient to get there from Hong Kong! This was one of my bucket list things to do, my joy to see it 2 mins, away from my hotel. On February 6, 2024, Phoenix Ancient Town was designated as a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Free admission! Tuojiang Rock Jumping is one of the most popular attractions in the ancient town. The stilted building complex of Tuojiang is located in Huilong Pavilion to the southeast of the ancient town, facing the ancient official road in front, and hanging over the Tuojiang River in the back. It is one of the ancient building complexes in Phoenix Ancient Town with a strong Miao architectural style. The entire complex is 240 meters long and consists of buildings from the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, with more than a dozen households still residing there.

Lijiang Jumping Rock is located in the Minjiang River outside the north gate of Fenghuang Ancient City. In the old days, it was one of the main passages into and out of the ancient city of Fenghuang. It is also the main channel for the attack on the ancient city of Phoenix under the city. The length of the rock jumping is 100 meters. There are 15 rock piers, which are in turn arranged on the Lijiang River bed. In the ancient city of Fenghuang, the only thing that wants to cross the river is the boardwalk and the rock jumping from the Lijiang River. There are several bridges along the rock that can cross the river. Only one jumping rock model crosses the Lijiang River.
