💞Recommended reasons:
In 1882, Japan's first zoo opened - Ueno Zoo, covering an area of about 14 hectares and housing about 300 species and a total of about 3,000 animals. The park is divided into two areas, the East Park and the West Park. The treasure of the park is not the panda, but the shoebill stork. To be honest, I've only seen it on TV. It has a big head and a huge bird beak, and walks slowly like a gentleman.
Transportation Tips: There are three entrances and ticket offices to Ueno Zoo: the Main Gate, Ikenotani Gate, and Benten Gate. The main entrance is the "Main Gate". The main entrance is about a 5-minute walk from the Park Exit of the nearest JR Ueno Station, and about a 10-minute walk from the main entrance exit of Keisei Ueno Station. About 9 minutes on foot from Tokyo Metro Ueno Station.
Although the facilities at Ueno Zoo are not the newest, they are at least kept clean. Everyone wants to see the super popular star animal "panda", so there are always a lot of people. Looks cute! The endangered "Shoebill" has a huge beak and sharp eyes, just like a character from an animation. It sits motionless all day long, like a silly bird, but it is the natural enemy of crocodiles! I didn't expect that there are polar bears in Ueno, and there is a swimming pool for them to exercise. There are also the "black-footed penguins" that originally lived on the southwest coast of Africa. Everyone likes their silly appearance. There are also other animals such as giraffes, elephants, crocodiles, lions, and many small animals. You can experience contact with small animals, etc. No wonder Ueno Zoo is always crowded, especially when the park opens in the morning. It is recommended to come in the afternoon when there are fewer people and the sun will not be so strong.
