#bookstoresandgalleries Alright listen, I feel it helps to know or be prepared for somethings. In this very case, the queuing to get inside. It's been only a couple of months since my visit to the uffizi and I'm always looking up or trying to find hacks to make things easy or skip ques. But that didn't work at the uffizi. It's a popular spot. Even during the off season that we travelled, there were plenty of art enthusiasts visiting the uffizi. While, most of the exhibits are from the renaissance area. And if thats not your thing, you're still going to like it. So naturally 3-4 hours to see things nicely and with the queuing it's likely to eat up half or more of the day. I'm saying this so you can prepare accordingly and not be all restless about wasting your day cos you only have a 1 or 2 days for Florence As mentioned I went there during the off season and the entrance fee was practically half of what we paid when visiting during peak season the previous time. Might have been close to 15 American dollars. I still can't convert that well in euros. If you have a fixed plan and will most likely visit the uffizi on a certain day. Go ahead and book the tickets online. This will be a shorter que than most who come here without a fixed plan and buy at site. You might pay about 5 bucks more for booking on the website but it's worth it. Know what's even better? Spend on a guided tour. You wont have to que and wait. Further, you'll understand and appreciate the artworks better. Compared to the Vatican or the louvre, you're still not paying much. Plus you get to see Raphael, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, and many more all within a few steps of one another. In terms of getting here, let me tell you it's a lovely area to walk around. It’s located near Piazza della Signoria, which is home to Palazzo Vecchio. The back of the Uffizi is across from the Arno river, which is visible from inside the gallery. The Uffizi gallery! A gallery with loads of stunning art works! It was crowded during the time I visit, around mid December, it was Italian public holiday, locals are travelling between cities. Please be prepared to stay in the gallery for more than 2 hours, or even 3. Me and my friend are not expert in art, at the very beginning we were so excited and we feel so great in such beautiful place and all world known art pieces are right in front of us, however half way through, we felt really stuffy in the gallery and a bit tired to keep walking. So reminded that be prepared to walk for long hours and take your time to sit down and rest before finishing the whole tour!

The Uffizi Gallery had so many wonderful pieces! The Uffizi Gallery itself is an artistic masterpiece, making it incredibly beautiful. The moment you see the entrance, you feel overwhelmed! One of the most famous pieces here is The Birth of Venus! Seeing the painting in person, which I had only seen in books, was truly fascinating. It was great to see the colors and details up close. There were also many works by various masters like Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. It was nice that there weren't too many people, so I could take my time and enjoy the art leisurely. The artworks were arranged by era and artist, which was very pleasing. The view of Florence from the Uffizi Gallery was also stunning. The view of the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio from here was truly magnificent. It felt like a photo spot! There were also chairs placed around and the explanations were well done, which was really nice. I highly recommend visiting if you go to Florence.
