#100WaysOfTravel #bali our second visit to bali, by our own we stayed in sun island hotel legian, very nice location for travellers, u can get many cafes and convenience stores right in front of ur hotel, then we proceed to ubud, we went to sari timbul which looks like fantasy! the local took our pics and it turned out really lovely, then we head to kintamani, we went for nice cafe with mount batur view! we had pizza and that was so good! please come here if u wanna taste good pizza🤭, then for the next day we went to ulun danu beratan temple, the weather here is cool and nice! windy~ , we manage to went around the temple and capture nice videos! we also went to pantai pandawa, very nice ambience and the weather is just nice not too hot. chilling at pantai pandawa is a must! you can get good photos too♥️, what a wonderful experience that we had throughout out journey in bali! many more too share ♥️ #awesomepic #deliciousfood

The temple is located just across the traditional market, where the street is not very large, so you can imagine traffic in a busy hour. No parking, only a motorcycle for about 10 units. When you take the first step above the gate, you can see on the left side, a building with plenty of traditional music instruments. When I got there, I couldn’t enter the main area because of the ritual ceremony. My great experience was witnessing such an amazing scene with my family. At first, I was expected to visit the Ulwato model on my planned trip, I am very impressed and grateful that I see the great Indian Ocean on top of the cliff, very very close to me. One of the most beautiful places we have seen in Bali. I recommend seeing it if you are there. This is on the shore of a lake at a higher altitude. One of the photos we took here will be the cover of our photo book. The ocean view is not new to me because I am from Sri Lanka and we are surrounded by the ocean, yet the view of the ocean in Olwat is amazing because you are looking at it from a high angle. Unfortunately, the day we visited it was rather bleak and we didn’t see the sunset.

Very clean and well maintained and many pictures of Instagram shutter errors. The breeze from the lake makes the heat acceptable. You shouldn’t miss We arrived around 11am. The weather was perfect. The sun was bright, the wind was cold and the flowers were everywhere. The temple was great Wandering around the area is simply azed. Olon Danu Pratan was the first stop on our tour of North Bali. Being in the north means a very comfortable temperature at 21 degrees on a tropical island. The temple was beautifully placed on a lake and there were many locations to take pictures. We toured Samban around the temple and it was a quiet moment in the crowds. The air was pure and we enjoyed the beauty of nature. There were many beautiful sights around and food stalls. Busy with tourists but worth a visit if you tour North Bali. Glad 😌 we went here.

Beautiful colourful garden with flowers. Play area for kids, the adjoining lake offers boat rides too. Nice place to spend time with family. We were not allowed to enter the temple. But that did not dampen our spirits This spot is always my fav one. I really enjoy the atmosphere, it is very refeshing. There are some improvements since my last visit. Very beautyfull of the lake. Temples by shore are awesome and very iconic. I think they are the main point of interest of this spot. #wecreate

#bali Ever been to Bali? If not, you should visit this Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple which is a famous old Hindu lake temple that sits on the waters of scenic Lake Beratan in Bedugul, north of Bali. This 12-story pagoda was built by the Balinese king of Mengwi in the year 1633, and the lake it sits on is actually a crater lake (from an old volcano). Lake Bratan is also the second biggest lake in Bali, after Lake Batur in Kintamani. This temple’s unusual pagoda has even been featured on the 50,000 Rupiah cash note in Indonesia. It sits in the mountains at an unusually high elevation compared to the rest of Bali, so the temps are pretty cool (about 5 °C lower than at sea level).

Ulun Danu is located in Tabanan Regency Bali. Its a quite a trip going to this place if you are coming from the city. The best way is to join a local tour or hire a service car with a local driver. For 3 people we paid US$15 each including the tip for the driver (how economical) and the service was for the whole day (10hrs) This place showcasing one of the most visited cultural heritage of Indonesia so it can get crowded with tourists, best time to explore is the earliest in the morning (they as early as 7am) taking pictures with least people walking around. Highly suggest to hire a tour guide to enjoy the scenic place with a well informative local. You’ll appreciate this beautiful place more by knowing its history. After visiting this place, your driver are able to recommend a local restaurants nearby that serves sumptuous flavourful Indonesian delicacies.
