I recently had the opportunity to explore the underwater world in Langkawi and it was a cool experience. The water was clear and the coral reefs were truly beautiful. It was amazing to see so many different types of fish swimming around in their natural habitat and i had the opportunity to see the the team feeding the penguins . Besides buying chocolates and swimming at the beach , visiting Langkawi Underwater World is also one of the must-do activities in this state of Kedah . We stayed at Cenang Plaza Beach Hotel which is 400m walk away from the aquarium . This aquarium displays wonderful marine wildlife and land creatures . At the Penguinarium , there is a group of penguins that are quite active swimming and moving together . They are sooooo cute ! We can see many other attractions like the Freshwater Fish Section , the Seashell Display , the Koi Pond , Invertebrate Section and the Coral Reef Section are available within the aquarium . Conveniently these two attractions can be found under one roof. Tge Underwater World and Zon Duty Free is located on the main stretch of Pantai Cenai. This building is unmissable as it is one of the biggest complex on Pantai Cenang. For Underwater world, there are lots of ocean creatures such as sharks and turtles and all kind of other species to be discovered and served a good educational purpose and can be fun time especially for kids. For Zon Duty Free outlet, most people want to buy some chocolates, Alcohol or Fragrance as gifts and souvenirs for family and friends. It is definitely a lot cheaper as it is duty free. Even though I don’t actually buy a lot of stuff during holidays, some bargain of chocolates are indeed can not be missed. Check it out when you are in Langkawi.

As a lover of the underwater world, I really liked the aquarium! If you are wondering if it is worth going there, then I can say that yes, it is worth it (especially since tickets are quite cheap): you will find out what underwater creatures you can meet while snorkeling or diving near the island of Langkawi, you will see unusual and sometimes funny fish, meet a crab that is larger than a human, watch sharks and giant rays and you will also see beautiful penguins. Langkawi Underwater World is one of the largest aquariums in Malaysia, where you can see more than 4000 animals. Almost all the animals have plates with reference information in English. #aquarium

Beautiful sightings of the sea creatures 🐠 Small space yet theres's tons to look at. Totally mesmerizing experience and they even have aquarium of fishes with disability due to sickness and old aged. #myhiddengems Very nice aquarium and all the feeding show was on time, mostly in the evening. All the fish were kept in good condition and only few of them were sick. Plenty species including reptiles, birds and fishes. Worth for visiting especially for marine lovers. Parking available and cost RM3 per entry.
