We spent a whole day at universal studios. Got there shortly after it opened and there were queues already. Thank goodness we had the express pass, was a life saverp. We had to wait for the minions ride only for 15mins, every other ride we got on almost straight away. We were able to do all the rides and roam around the studios in one day, without the express pass it wouldn’t have been possible. We even did the Harry Potter ride twice. Don’t miss the universal studio tour, very informative and takes you through real movie sets. Download the free universal studios app, it’s quite useful, has show times, maps, ride wait times and other information. Parking in the general area is not that far and we did not feel the need for paying extra for parking close by. When people make a reservation for Mario Land and wait until their designated time, they should not have to face a two hour wait for Matio cart. Bummer!!! Didn't even get to go on. If Mario Land is what you want to see, either come in early on the morning pass or just skip it. I have never seen the park so crowded. I know the new attraction just opened but it was worse than Disneyland crowded.

It is a historic park that developed from a movie studio, so you can only experience the Studio Tour, where you can see the sets actually used in movie shoots! It is not as crowded as Disneyland, which is also located near Los Angeles, so you can go around at your own pace. If you use the Express Pass, you can ride all the attractions in about half a day! There are differences between the seats on the left and right sides of the Studio Tour, so we recommend riding it twice! !

We had a great time visiting Universal Studios Hollywood in the past. Back when the Tron legacy movie was still a hit, we even saw a Tron car there. The rides are just amazing. The rollercoasters and open area fairs just made our afternoon. You really cannot compare the original Universal Studios to anything else. I joined after 14. As it is called Hollywood, I also participated in a tour of the back of the studio and a tram ride! The bus ride took just under an hour. It was fun because it used filming spots and 3D and it felt like the actors were nearby.
