For my university graduation trip, I visited the UK for my first overseas travel. The fresh scenery and atmosphere, which I couldn't experience in domestic trips, overwhelmed me, making it feel like a dream world. Visiting famous landmarks such as Big Ben, London Bridge, Oxford University, and the British Museum, I was deeply impressed by the rich history and culture of the UK. Experiencing a foreign environment and discovering a new world, I realized that everything about this trip was very special and would remain in my memory forever.

#2024mapped Being home for one of the most prestigious university in the world, Oxford is also the easiest+cheapest city to visit from London: when planned ahead (even a few days would suffice), one-way trip costs as low as £5 and takes around 2hrs. That also means, Oxford is a perfect destination to do a day trip from London, instead of having to drag along some suitcases to a new hotel. That said, there is an unique accommodation option to stay in the university and wake up to have breakfast in the Great Hall featured in Harry Potter movies; so if you managed to get a slot (usually fully booked many months ahead), that’s a chance not to miss. Attraction-wise, I personally find Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Square most mesmerising, but really, the whole university town is not huge, but every corner is antique and could make an excellent photo spot. In terms of museums, most museum (if not all) are free-entry (but ticket might be needed), and natural history museum is my favourite.

Oxford University is also well known as the filming location for the British movie Harry Potter⚡️I went on a day tour, but it was nice to see and hear information that I wouldn't have known if I had just gone on a free trip☺️ I definitely recommend going on a tour to those who are going to Oxford👍🏻 It's so big and spacious compared to Korean universities that the campus feels like a city.! Plus, I went in the summer, so it felt even more romantic to see students enjoying their time on the green lawn🌿 Blackwell's Bookstore is also a place I always visit when I go to Oxford.
