Hongdae Restaurant 'Uwa' Hongdae Branch.
A special teppanyaki dish in Hongdae! We tried yakisoba and okonomiyaki at 'Uwa'.
📍 Uwa Hongdae Main Branch
📝 Review
'Uwa' in Hongdae is famous for its okonomiyaki and yakisoba made with yam instead of flour. The restaurant has a cozy and clean atmosphere, and you can watch the cooking process right in front of the teppan seats, making it even more interesting.
We ordered the yakisoba with classic sauce and pork topping. The noodles were chewy, the sauce was rich and savory, and it blended well with the flavor of the pork. Especially, it was freshly cooked on the teppan, giving it a warm and hearty taste.
The okonomiyaki was chosen with tomato sauce and shrimp topping. The yam-based batter was soft and moist, and the tanginess of the tomato sauce and the mildness of the shrimp created a unique flavor. It offered a different charm compared to regular okonomiyaki.
Thanks to the friendly service and detailed explanations from the staff, we were able to comfortably choose our menu and enjoy our meal. If you're looking for healthy and unique teppanyaki dishes in Hongdae, we recommend 'Uwa'.
