I really like Yokohama, it feels like a city from anime. It is not as crowded as Tokyo, it is more comfortable and cozy. What is particularly surprising is that you can clearly see Mount Fuji here. I also recommend taking it out and eating it at the nearby Yamashita Park. It may be difficult in the cold season, but the view of Yokohama's port is romantic and you can take wonderful photos. 🛥️A short walk from Yamashita Park is Cosmo World, a small amusement park with free admission. Here, you only need to pay the necessary amount for the attractions you want to ride, so you can go to the site and decide whether or not to ride the attractions depending on your mood that day. 🎡I recommend the Ferris wheel! The view from the window is very beautiful, and the great thing about it is that you can see Minato Mirai in 360 degrees. #Cable car Yokohama Air Cabin is an aerial cable car connecting JR Sakuragicho to Canal Park in the Minato Mirai 21 Shinko area. It opened on April 22, 2021. The cable car is about 630 meters long and 40 meters high. The one-way trip takes about 5 minutes. One cabin can accommodate 8 passengers. It is Japan's first urban circular aerial cable car. Through the windows of the carriage, you can see the beautiful cityscape representing Yokohama and Minato Mirai, including the large Ferris wheel Cosmo Clock 21 in Yokohama Cosmo World. Whether you are on a date with a couple or traveling with children, you can enjoy the fun of Yokohama's aerial walk comfortably. I travel by myself during off-peak hours and enjoy a carriage by myself, but during peak hours I may have to share the carriage with other people. The carriages have independent air conditioning and play light music. You can take a ride at night to enjoy the night view of Yokohama from the air. The one-way ticket costs ¥1,000 yen and the round-trip ticket costs ¥1,800 yen. #One-day tour in the city A 1:1 movable Gundam body is exhibited at the Yamashita Pier in Yokohama. It comes from the popular Japanese anime "Mobile Suit Gundam". The body is the same as the original setting, 18 meters high, and the arms and legs of the Gundam are movable. It has been exhibited at Yokohama Port since December 2020 and has become a new local landmark. As of March 31, 2024, it has attracted more than 1.75 million pilgrims. I also took the opportunity to take a day trip to Yokohama. Transportation: Walk about 7 minutes from Exit 4 (Ocean Tower Exit) of Motomachi-Chukagai Station on the Minato Mirai Line. Take the Yokohama City Bus Bayside Blue and get off at Yamashita Pier, then walk about 3 minutes. From Ueno or Tokyo Station, take the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line or JR Yokosuka Line. From Shinjuku Station, take the Shonan-Shinjuku Line. From Shibuya, take the Tokyu Toyoko Line, which runs directly to the Minatomirai Line, and get off at Exit 1 of Motomachi-Chukagai Station. The exit of "Motomachi-Chukagai Station" is the East Gate of Yokohama Chinatown (Chaoyang Gate), which is home to more than 600 shops. Many snacks have been modified to Japanese flavors, and they look and taste unique. After eating, take a walk to Yamashita Park, which is famous for its roses and the night view of the harbor. The Gundam Factory is at the dock in front. From a distance you can see the six-meter-tall, 1:1-scale Gundam RX-78F00. Every half hour there is a 10-minute performance recreating scenes from the animation. Gundam will walk out of the cabin and move along the storyline. Combined with colorful lights and exciting sound effects, the process is fascinating. It is best to enter after 4 pm to see the sound and light shows during the day and at night. Walking along the wide avenue of Yamashita Park towards the Red Warehouse, you can also visit the Nippon Yusen Hikawa Maru, which is now a Maritime Museum and was designated as an important national cultural heritage in 2016. Part of the interior is on public display, giving you a glimpse into life on the cruise ship. If time permits, take a Yokohama Port sightseeing cruise and enjoy the Yokohama Port from the sea. Finally, we walked to the famous red brick warehouse, which was Yokohama's logistics base more than 100 years ago and was specifically used for storing imported goods. This beautiful Western-style brick building has now become a popular tourist attraction, housing a grocery store, trendy brand stores and restaurants. You can take photos of Yokohama's famous city view from the Bankoku Bridge, take a walk to the Canal Park and take the Yokohama Ropeway to Sakuragicho Station to get a bird's eye view of Yokohama's night view from the air. The cable car is air-conditioned and has music, making it very romantic at night. If you still have energy, you must go up to the Landmark Tower Sky Garden. Located on the 69th floor, it dominates the world, higher than the surrounding buildings. The night view from above is vivid and dazzling, and it is an absolutely unique close-up perspective. I definitely walked more than 20,000 steps that day. If you are traveling with the elderly or children, you must take the Minato Mirai Line or a taxi to travel between attractions. This saves time and effort. I recommend it to everyone.

#parksandgardens #100waysoftravel It was a nice sunny day at Yokohama, and I can't bear to let this nice weather off without going outside for some nice breeze, so I walked out of my hotel and take a stroll around the coastline of Yokohama Pier. There I reached this nice little seaside park called Zou no Hana Park, which means the Elephant Trunk Park. It spans approximately 3.3 hectares including the breakwater stretching. You can enjoy the nice sea breeze at the park, while having your lunch from the lunch box, and there is also a gallery for exhibition and also a coffee stand. This is a nice place for chilling especially for those working around that area.
