The hotel was a midscale property which was a bit away from the main town but that was a good thing as it was much more quiet and serene. There's a very nice enclosed garden which adds to the serenity. If i recall correctly it used to be one of the king's residences. The rooms themselves are basic and actually quite dark, but you can definitely open the windows for fresh air and light. Just make sure you close them at night as bugs will fly in. The bathrooms are a bit in need of an update but nothing horrendous. There's also a breakfast buffet available and it was quite alright; I really enjoyed the fresh fruits and eggs cooked to order. You also get a glimpse of the river which I really enjoyed! Staff were competent, very eager to help with requests and always polite and friendly. Also there's a free shuttle pickup service from the airport which I found absolutely amazing. #resort #hotel #relax #laos #luangprabang

Victoria Xiengthong Palace is a hotel in the old town of Luang Prabang, which is close to many tourist attractions. It is also a 4-star hotel. The hotel is not far from the airport, it takes 15-20 minutes to get to the hotel. When I arrived, the staff were very welcoming. Everyone was lovely. When there was a problem with the wifi, it was solved immediately. The food was very delicious. On Sundays, there is a movie showing the way of life of the Lao people in the past. Having dinner while watching a movie is fun. The hotel is located next to the Mekong River, just across the road. It is also not far from various tourist attractions.
