Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild 🗺️
I recently visited the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera, and it was an absolutely enchanting experience! 🌸 Located between Nice and Monaco, this stunning villa and its gardens are a must-see. The entrance fee was around 15 euros, and it’s worth every penny for the beauty and history you get to explore.
The villa, built by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild in the early 20th century, is a masterpiece of architecture and design. Each room is filled with exquisite art, furniture, and decorations from around the world. The highlight for me was the central patio with its delicate pink marble and intricate details. 🏰
The gardens surrounding the villa are equally spectacular, with nine distinct sections including a French formal garden, a Spanish garden, and a Japanese garden. The musical fountain show in the main garden was a delightful surprise, adding to the villa’s fairy-tale ambiance.
Nearby attractions include the beautiful coastal path of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, perfect for a scenic walk along the Mediterranean. You can also visit the charming village of Villefranche-sur-Mer with its colorful buildings and waterfront cafes. For art lovers, the nearby Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a fantastic contemporary art museum.
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a blend of art, history, and breathtaking views, making it a highlight of my trip to the French Riviera. #VillaEphrussi #FrenchRiviera #TravelFrance #GardenParadise 🌸🇫🇷
