I checked in at the landmark building in Ho Chi Minh. I stayed in the tallest hotel in Vietnam, Pearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection. You can overlook the city of Ho Chi Minh from the hotel. The night view is even better at sunset. The hotel lobby is on the 48th floor. Executive privileges allow you to check in at the Club Lounge on the 71st floor. There are also all-day meals and drinks. The room I booked this time has a great view from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on the 61st floor. The sky pool on the 47th floor is beautiful. You must experience it at sunset. The seafood buffet on the 66th floor Oriental Pearl is of great quality on weekends. You can also see the night view, which is very atmospheric. I recently had the immense pleasure and was fortunate to be able to stay at one of the tallest buildings in the world! Vinpearl Landmark 81! The hotel stretches from floor 42 to 70 in this building which basically guarantees you sweeping skyline views of Saigon. The room had a nice king sized bed facing the awesome view. There was also a chair for you to see what HCMC has to offer! The bathtub was so deep and I had an amazing soak in it! Room was modern and the use of space was really smart. I can’t wait to be back!

A Marriott hotel, which is where I found the hotel. It is a very lovely and luxurious hotel with striking views of the city as it's located in one of the tallest buildings of the city. The staff are lovely and kind and make sure to make you feel welcomed. The rooms are very open with ceiling to floor windows and everything is just very sophisticated and elegant. What I like the most is that it's very affordable and great value for money. The hotel is right above a shopping mall so there are many shopping and eating options. It's a bit removed from the city center and everything else so do keep in mind that a taxi in and out is a most likely a must. #luxury

Background: CNY 1,600/night, Grab from the airport to the hotel is less than CNY 50, the hotel upgraded my room to a corner room with a great view. Pros: The hotel food is very good, especially the bread, the croissants are very good; infinity pool, gym; the tallest building in Ho Chi Minh City; there is a mall downstairs with many food options; the pad controls the entire room's lighting system. Cons: The decoration materials are not very good, especially the moment you push the door, it feels like a piece of wood, the sockets and marble are not very solid; but the bed is good; the location is not convenient for city walks, but it is not far from the center. Summary: It's OK to stay here for an experience, but next time, I will choose Le Meridien, unless the points redemption is advantageous.

|Landmark 81 Vinpearl Luxury. I didn't plan to stay in Ho Chi Minh City, but when I found out that this landmark building (which I later found out is the tallest building in Vietnam) has a hotel with a great view, I quickly changed my itinerary and decided to stay in Ho Chi Minh City for one night. I was planning to wait at the airport until 6 am to take the first VIE LIMO to the hotel to drop off my luggage, then go out to play, and then come back to check in at noon. But I couldn't find the VIE LIMO after looking for a long time, so I ended up taking a Grab. It was pretty fast, about 20 minutes. When I arrived at the hotel, I told the staff that I wanted to store my luggage. Unexpectedly, after taking my passport and doing some operations, they told me that I could check in now. I was instantly surprised and delighted. I was upgraded to a Prestige Panoramic Room, which is 3/5 glass, so you can see the outside view. The guest rooms in this hotel are also not low, so the view is great. I can see the sunrise from my side. I arrived in the room at 6 am and caught the sunrise~ The executive lounge is even higher, and the view is even better. The executive lounge is open from 6 am to 10 pm. The afternoon tea and happy hour are pretty good, especially the fruit is very rich and has a Southeast Asian style. Happy hour has all kinds of drinks, and the staff are very enthusiastic~ Because I had to catch an early flight, I came to have breakfast as soon as it opened at 6 o'clock. I chose a sunrise seat, and it was quite ceremonial to watch the sunrise while eating breakfast~ The breakfast variety is also quite rich~ The staff service is also very thoughtful~ This location is not in the same area as most of the attractions in Ho Chi Minh City (or the old town?). If you want to go to that area, you can either take a taxi or take a bus. I suggest taking a taxi. The bus is not very convenient and you need to walk a long way~ There is a shopping mall downstairs, which has everything. The surrounding area is a residential area. There is a park opposite. You can go for a walk in the evening and sit on the lawn. It's quite lively~ (I feel like this area is a rich residential area)

Vinpearl Landmark 81 hotel is the first Autograph Collection hotel in Vietnam. It is also the tallest building in Saigon. Upon arrival at the moment, you will have to take the lift to level 48 where the hotel lobby is located at. The whole place is luxurious and the view from every corner is to die for. I got the most basic room and I still got a wonderful view of the Saigon! As the hotel is quite new, the room amenities are top notch and in good condition. The whole toilet is tiled with marble. The view from every single room here in the hotel has a great bird eye view of the city. I personally preferred the layout of the most basic room than the second tier room. We experienced quite possibly Vietnam's Highest 'High Tea' within a building which is a relatively new addition the Oriental Restaurant. We managed to get reserved via the Marriott page just 30 minutes before our visit. Set on the 66th floor the views of Saigon are remarkable and the layout of the lounge really compliments it. The high tea set itself was valued at VND590K pp without service fees and includes one welcome drink and free flow coffee/tea.
