W Macau.
W Macau, a luxury hotel under Marriott International, officially opened on September 8, 2023. Here is a detailed introduction to the hotel:
1. Design style:
- Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the hotel is inspired by Hollywood movies shot in Macau in the 1950s, combining rich details, bold geometric shapes, and contemporary styles that symbolize Macau's blend of Eastern and Western cultures, history, and natural aesthetics. The blue and white wave design of the reception desk is eye-catching, the walls display picturesque coastal scenery, and the mirrored ceiling makes guests feel as if they are under the sea, creating a dynamic space. The exterior fins of the building outline the vertical shape of the hotel tower. The heat-insulating glass units and sunshade fins can reduce solar radiation and glare, and maintain the thermal comfort of the indoor space.
2. Guest rooms: The hotel offers a total of 557 guest rooms and suites, ranging from 37 to 258 square meters. All rooms offer views of the bustling Cotai or charming cityscape, and are equipped with a Bluetooth audio system. The W Exclusive Presidential Suite Double Bedroom Super Surprise Suite on the 38th floor has 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a wide view. The comfortable round bed shows a luxurious home texture, and the kitchen with Portuguese-style ceramic tiles connects to the spacious dining area.
3. Dining facilities:
- Chao Tang: An all-day coffee and cocktail bar, offering a range of creative cocktails and boutique coffees, as well as cakes and desserts with Chinese and Portuguese characteristics. There is also a very private a.p.d. (a perfect dose), offering themed cocktails made by smoking and soaking.
- Jin Jin: The all-day restaurant is decorated with the bustling and vibrant atmosphere of the local market, offering a range of local and international gourmet dishes, including the "Tea 2.0" concept drink inspired by Macau's tea restaurant culture.
- Hui: A modern Cantonese restaurant on the 40th floor of the hotel, offering exquisite modern Cantonese cuisine, with special tea wine (cocktails based on tea).
- Blind Tiger: A special bar next to Hui, overlooking the magnificent city skyline, with a bar inspired by Western pharmacists' counters, offering a range of hand-made dark spirits, as well as limited-edition whiskies from Japan and Scotland.
4. Leisure and entertainment facilities:
- The 16-meter-long indoor constant-temperature swimming pool, wet, where people can swim, and also enjoy a warm water massage pool, cold water pool, rest swing bed, and open steam bath and sauna.
- The all-day open fit gym is equipped with advanced aerobic exercise and weight training equipment.
- The away spa has five standard treatment rooms and two express spa rooms, and offers a range of special signature spa treatments, including stress-relieving massages using rich mixed essential oils and other products to help guests rejuvenate.
5. Business event venue: The 600-square-meter academy multi-function hall can be divided into seven independent areas, equipped with complete audio-visual facilities and cutting-edge conference technology, and also has a spacious open kitchen and self-service beverage bar.
