The museum has three floors, and the staff at the front desk recommended starting from the third floor. #summervacay The WA Museum Boola Bardip is beautifully modern, and I was impressed from the moment I walked in. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated with an emphasis on First Nations stories, WA’s natural history, and the unique biodiversity of the region. I saw a giant blue whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling—it was stunning. There are also hands-on displays that are great for kids and adults alike. The rooftop terrace café was a perfect spot to cool down afterward.

Staying in East Perth at Crowne Plaza Perth for 3days 2night. Though the hotel was decent and nothing of fancy, and was a bit expensive for close to A$450 a night (Premium 2 Double 1 single room), but the location was nice as it was close to the swan river. Nice scenery. Can consider taking leisure walk along the bank to the Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay. All within walking distance. There are also closer hotels to the CBD which will greatly reduce the walking distance. I would consider some hotels closer to Murray Street or even Perth station if food, bars and shopping are the key focus. These locations are also near to the WA museum Boola Bardip and other cultural centre. Deserve a thumb up to Bolla Bardip, very amazing exhibits at low cost to public. Can literally spend a day to understand on the history. Given more time, I would probably spend more days here as well.

The long-awaited Boola Bardip Museum in Western Australia has finally reopened in 2020! “Boola Bardip” means “many stories” in the traditional Nyoongar language, the Boola Bardip museum has five floors and eight permanent exhibitions, each with a different theme and interactive content. The architectural design inside and outside the museum is also a highlight, integrating the new and old pavilions without any violation. Even if you don't buy a ticket to see it, it's great to take pictures outside! The museum has quite a wealth of exhibitions, from astronomy, geography, literature, and even specimens of dinosaurs and blue whales, which must be experienced in person on site to know how spectacular. The Museum of Western Australia adopts a unique “people-centered” approach to curation, which also recognizes the original rights of Australian Indigenous peoples in practicing and expressing their cultural heritage. ⚠️Swipe right for potentially disturbing photos When talking about the mummy, the first thing that comes to mind is the tomb raider, give me a heart💓 The first time I watched it as a kid, it really scared me and gave me nightmares (The image of the scarab gnawing away a person and leaving him with nothing but bones in an instant is still vivid in my mind💀) But later, because I often read adventure novels So I became interested in the history, culture and mythology of Egypt. I personally really like the Ancient Egyptian Civilization Exhibition - Legend of Eternal Life, which was held at the Hong Kong Science Museum in 2017. It was the theme of that year. The ancient Egyptians believed that 👼🏼 people would go to another world after death, and that in that world they could obtain true eternal life✝️. So to put it simply, mummifying the body, making a book of the dead, and placing a large number of burial objects next to the tomb are all for the purpose of allowing the deceased to successfully pass the judgment of the underworld⚖️ I still remember that the overall tone of the museum was dark. Every few steps on the wall, there was an excerpt from the Book of the Dead. It was illuminated by soft white light, but every word was like a burning fire, which made people unconsciously anticipate the end of life. I would think of the ancient Egyptians and yearn for the world after death. This time, the Western Australian Museum uses the color of historical yellow to present the past of ancient Egyptian civilization in a more relaxed way 💁🏼‍♀️. The most special thing about this exhibition is that there are ❗animal mummies❗, including cats, fish, and crocodiles, which are relatively rare exhibits. It also has an interactive exhibition showing how to make a cat mummy 🧐; and there are a total of 6 human mummies, just like the one exhibited in Hong Kong, using advanced CT technology, so that without destroying the mummies, their original appearance can be restored as much as possible, and their age, gender, health status, eating habits and even social status can be inferred. Overall, this is an Egyptian exhibition that is worth visiting. Although it is a bit difficult to read a lot of English vocabulary, there are free audio guides at the entrance of the exhibition.
