Plenty of small food stall outside of the post office, all accept cash. 3) War Remnants Museum; There were plenty of real pictures during the war, how locals were struggling and everything. Be cautious if you bringing children because even for me, I got very emotional when reading and seeing those images. Ticket is very cheap, you can buy onsite/ at entrance. 4) Landmark 81; Tallest building in Vietnam. The lights makes it look majestic in the evening. If you have time, take the chance and view Saigon from the top of this building. 5) Tan Dinh Church; Unique because the colour if the building but honestly, it was hard to take nice pictures over here because it was super crowded. Visitors are not allowed during mass hours. 6) Bach Dang Station; More modern and colourful architectures. Near the harbour, there is an open space/ park with a lot of benches for visitors. 7) Ben Thanh Market; Selling mostly souveniors, clothes, food and drinks. All kind of stuff available here. If you wanna eat like local, come here. Food were super cheap but so delicious. Here what I recommend; - Pho - Vietnamese coffee - Crispy Vietnamese Pancake ; contain shredded coconut - chargrilled pork and betel leaves

The museum is divided into 2 main zones: the outdoor exhibition zone and the indoor exhibition zone. Both zones have exhibitions, photographs, movies, and displays of vehicles and objects that were actually used in that era. It is another area that serves as a reminder and commemorates the heroes who have passed away. It is open everyday including public holidays and Tet. The ticket price is 40,000 VND ($1.75) for adults and 20,000 VND ($0.88) for children aged 6-15. Children under six years old can visit for free. Here you can find numerous captured US and South Vietnamese aircraft and equipment. The Museum of thematic research, collection , storage, preservation and display of the material, photographs, artifacts on the evidence of the crime and the consequences of the war that the invasion force has caused to Vietnam. Well, I personally don't recommend this for kids due to some horrific photos but with the guidance of the parents it's probably fine. The War Remnants Museum has been one of my favourites when I fly to the Ho Chi Minh City. The museum requires an admission fee of 15,000 vnd which is less than a dollar. The museum closes around 5pm. Be sure to reach here earlier. You can take a taxi from ben thanh market here at few bucks. From the entrance of the museum, there are few fire fighter planes and tanks that have been used between the war in the past. A walk up to the museum will bring you back to the 70s where the war happens. You can see the real life images of the sufferings and the bad living conditions of the people living in that era. You will definitely feel the pain and empathy. We must treasure what we have today and work hard for it. We will definitely make the world a peaceful place to live in. #bucketlistreboot

It is an impressive place, not for the faints of heart as some pictures can be shocking. To me it was learning history from the other side of the story. Definitely a must see place, they have an audio guide for rent at a reasonable price and a supervised kids area in case you are visiting with children. The exhibit areas inside the building have A/C, it is very hot outside, bringing water is highly recommended. Tiger Cages outside the main building + the area that explains them as well as torture techniques used during the war was hard to see. There is a parking for motorbikes as you enter the building, and a small cafeteria that sells ice cream, water and soft drinks

If your in Ho Chi Minh City, it is a must that you go to the war remnants museum. It's so important when being in Vietnam to have a better understanding of the countries history and the extremely sad but informative museum is not only interesting but extremely educational. A must see!

An EXTREMELY worthwhile and sobering experience, especially for Americans. Everyone should take the time to see it. There is also a red notebook in the second floor for you to write your thoughts. The museum features a lot of graphic evidence that aren't shown anywhere else. There are also many real artifacts of US tanks, helicopters, and guns. If you speedrun, 1 - 1.5 hours would still be enough, but it is a must-see in HCM! If you can take a day trip to Củ Chi and/or Cần Giờ warzone, it'll complete the experience. Highly recommended.
