Huizhou West Lake
During my trip to Huizhou, I spent a lot of time at the Xi Lake Hotel. During my short stay, I quickly took the opportunity to visit West Lake under the cover of night. The Sizhou Tower, Sudi, Yangdi, Nine-Bend Bridge, and Dongpo Garden are all elegant and simple landscapes that echo the modernity and fashion of Huizhou city. With this scene, my thoughts are wandering, feeling the difference between today's bright lights and the 'half city of mountains and rivers, half city of lake' of Huizhou when Su Shi was exiled. Without this heaven-given half city of mountains and rivers and the smoke of this half city's lake, would Su Zi still have the satisfaction of 'eating 300 lychees a day, not refusing to be a long-term resident of Lingnan'? Without the ink color splashed by Su Zi, would Huizhou still have today's achievements? One person and one lake, one lake and one person, have made Huizhou's beautiful name for a thousand years, and continued Huizhou's cultural context for a thousand years. Su Zi and West Lake, whether in Hangzhou or Huizhou, everything may be arranged by heaven.
