Wuhan University Cherry Blossom Viewing Guide:
I. Reservation Information
Reservation Period: From March 12 to 28, starting at 8pm each night, you can access the cherry blossom reservation system through Wuhan University's official website or official WeChat account. Select "Public Cherry Blossom Reservation Channel" and fill in your last name, first and middle names, ID number, mobile phone number, and other required information to reserve your visit for 3 days later.
Reservation Limit: 20,000 people per working day and 40,000 people per weekend day.
Entry Time: From March 15 to 31, entry is allowed from 8:30am to 5:30pm on working days and from 8am to 6pm on weekends.
Entry Gates: Luojia Gate, Hongyi Gate, Luonan Gate, and Chagang Gate are open on working days. Yangbo Gate is additionally opened on weekends.
II. Recommended Routes
Classic Cherry Blossom Route: Luojia Gate → Teaching Building 5 Lawn → New Library → Wanlin Art Museum → Kunpeng Square, Songqing Gymnasium → Cherry Blossom Avenue, Old Dormitory, Old Library → Administration Building, Cherry Blossom Garden → Wanlin Art Museum.
Unique Experience Route: If you have enough time, you can visit the 912 Playground and the Administration Building Lawn for a picnic and take some photos with unique Wuhan University characteristics.
III. Important Notes
Avoid Peak Hours: It is recommended to arrive before 9am to avoid peak crowds. Choose to visit on a working day, especially Wednesday or Thursday. There are even fewer people on rainy days.
Transportation: Take Metro Line 8 to Xiaohongshan Station (Exit A). Wuhan University's Luojia Gate is about a 10-minute walk from the station.
Finally, try the cafeteria at Wuhan University. It's a more authentic experience than eating out, hahahahahaha.
