Currently, Wulaofeng is still under construction, with only Taiyi Peak, Chessboard Peak, and the highest Yuzhu Peak open to the public; the East and West Jinping Peaks have not yet been developed, and the Heilongtan is closed. The earliest buildings on Wulaofeng date back to the Northern Zhou Dynasty. It is said to be the birthplace of the Quanzhen School of Taoism. Taking a taxi or hiring a car here is not cheap, but there are tourist shuttles from Yuncheng and Yongji, with one every hour on the hour, which is quite convenient if you time it right.
