This time we spent 2 days and 1 night in Shenzhen, staying at the Wyndham Grand Hotel Shenzhen, which is conveniently located near Gangxia Metro Station, just a few stops from Futian Port. After checking in, we were pleasantly surprised to find a birthday setup on the bed, which was beautifully decorated! (I had mentioned to the hotel that my birthday was next week, and I only expected a birthday cake, but I didn't think there would be other decorations 🥰). Our first stop was Excellence Center, where the kids immediately went to play the claw machine. After that, we had lunch at a Western restaurant called Nongfu. The presentation and taste of the food were quite good. Next, we went to a pottery shop to make ceramics. The instructor patiently taught us how to make them. It turns out that making ceramics is not easy. I almost got it right a few times but then messed up suddenly 🥲. Finally, we managed to finish and moved on to painting them. We ended up spending 4-5 hours there, but the process was very enjoyable! After having beef hotpot for dinner, we went to Hexiang Palace for a massage. In a private room, we could watch a movie while getting the massage, and the masseur's skills were quite good! Back at the hotel, we enjoyed the birthday cake, ending a satisfying day 😜. On the second day, we went swimming at the hotel in the morning. The pool was quite large, and although the water was a bit cool, it was acceptable. We put it on but it’s too uncomfortable trying to squeeze in all our long hair into the caps . 🛁Rooms - Ambience is chill and very private with sound proof rooms . The tall ceiling and large windows in the rooms make the entire room so grand and luxurious. 🍽️Average breakfast with more local chinese choices , however I prefer a more western breakfast instead . 🛎️Average and lukewarm attitudes from front desk staff , the hair vouchers that comes with the room wasn’t given to us till we ask on our last second day . We weren’t aware of our club dining benefits , so we didn’t utilise them till the last 2 afternoons . 💗very average guest experience from the front desk and the club lounge service staff . There isn’t anyone smiling for the 4 days we were there . We weren’t greeted or served too . However the cleaning ladies are so friendly and awesome in their job . The cleanliness for all the 4 rooms we stayed in were impeccable.

Wyndham has been quite strict with risk control recently‼️, so staying here is a good way to avoid risk. The other Wyndham hotels in Shenzhen are in poor locations, so this one is the best, but the price is also high. The basic room is CNY 950+💵, so it's not worth it unless there's a big promotion. Currently, you get one free night for every four nights you stay, which is better than the Ramada hotels across the border. Also, you can now apply for a visa at Gangxia, so staying here is convenient💯. 🏢🏢🏢 The suite was large enough, and even had a separate dressing room💄, but most suites are end rooms, so be aware of this if you have a lot of luggage.
