It was a day just after the rain had cleared, and as I jogged along the path, suddenly before my eyes appeared a music pavilion adorned with flowers and plants. It was breathtakingly beautiful, as if in an instant, I was transported into a fairy tale world. I felt as if I saw Alice wandering through the fantastical wonderland, and I seemed to share her joy and wonder. You see, what you want to see 👻 This is the first perception of any supernatural thing in our life. The world of spookiness🧟 and heart racing came into existence for me, when I was in the kindergarten. From then on, there are always moments in life 🧬 I see what's around me (but can't be seen by others haha 🌚). Dating back to nearly 200 years before, coffee is truly a vintage drink that kings and queens have enjoyed. It has become a reach within common man's 🤓grasp during the last 50 years. Since then it has become a huge business, profiting out of every coffee addict like me 😅 And Shanghai is one of that big city with coffee shops swirling around every nook and corner. In our food expedition, and a frequent outing to go for a romantic date, Solo has become a regular. As the name goes, never go solo here haha. It's a place to take your date, and feast on some perfectly made italian dishes. The food is amazing and always make you feel light. Situated very close to the Hengshan road station in Shanghai, is always quite a busy place. So if you are planning to go there, plan atleast a week before and make a reservation. The EMI building located in Xujiahui Park, the memorial hall of the place where "March of the Volunteers" was recorded, has reopened with a new look after being closed for renovation. On a weekend trip to Xujiahui, I stumbled upon Xujiahui Park opposite Metro City. I was surprised to find such a relaxing place in the bustling Xujiahui area, full of cultural atmosphere. It's amazing. 🚉Transportation: Xujiahui Park is located near Xujiahui Subway Station, not far from Metro City, at the intersection of Hengshan Road. It's easy to get to, and you can see the park's landmark, the memorial chimney, from afar. It's the tallest point in the park. 🌟Highlights: Xujiahui Park is an open park without walls, with many iconic attractions. The first is the memorial chimney, which is a remnant of the former China Rubber Factory. (See the first picture) Another highlight is the black swans in the park. There is a lake called Huijin Lake, where two large black swans play freely. There is also a scenic bridge, as shown in the third picture. The bridge spans the entire park, offering views of the park and surrounding buildings. In addition, the park features the famous sculpture "Fountain of Hope - New Generation," as shown in the fifth and sixth pictures. There is also the former site of the Pathe Company and more. It is an independent garden house with a pseudo three-story brick and wood structure. It has a red tile sloping roof and red brick walls, and is called the "Little Red Building". There is a scallop-shaped rain pavilion at the main entrance on the north side, and the southern balcony uses an Ionic double-column loggia and a large curved staircase. The interior decoration is exquisite and intricate. This is the Asia-Pacific headquarters of EMI Oriental Records, which pioneered the history of record production in China. It is very suitable for fitness. Xujiahui Park has an underground parking lot, which costs CNY 10 per hour, with a daily cap of CNY 80. This is very cheap for the core area of Xujiahui. There is a Sinopec gas station on Wanping Road, as well as Heng Yue Xuan, an old Cantonese restaurant. The food is very delicious and worth a try.

#chinatrip This is beautiful park in the heart of Xujiahui. It is very well maintained, like every park in Shanghai. You can forget you're in the middle of the city when you're in this park. There are many trees, flowers, a lot of things for the children to see and explore, and a playground and several little waterfalls, too. There is a basketball court on the east side where there is always a pick-up game going on and there are a pile of rocks that for some reason all of the children love to climb and jump.

Xujiahui Park, located at No. 889, Zhaojiabao Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, 🌳 covers an area of about 8.5 hectares, making it a spacious green oasis. 🌿 In the park, tall, straight trees 🌳 provide shade, while lush greenery 🌱 surrounds the area. A tranquil lake 🦢 adds to the scenery, where black swans elegantly glide while enjoying people's feed. 🦢 A long pedestrian bridge 🌉 winds through the forested area, offering a picturesque stroll. In spring, the park comes alive with vibrant colors, bustling like brocade. 💐 One of the park's highlights is the "flowers flowing out of the porcelain jar," a popular spot for visitors. A large porcelain jar lies on its side, and from its mouth spills a cascade of flowers (tulips in this case), creating a beautiful and whimsical sight. 🌷

"Xujiahui Park" is already showing a 'profusion of blooming flowers', and the spring rain cannot hide the full garden's spring scenery. ✅ The landscape corridor of Xujiahui Park connects the entire park, offering a nice bird's-eye view. Xujiahui Park, you really know how to enjoy yourself! Xujiahui Park is located in the Xujiahui shopping district and is also a green space in the city. Sometimes after a good meal, I would go for a stroll there. The tulips 🌷 bloom exceptionally beautifully in the warm spring! 💐 The Xujiahui Park in spring is colorful, with flowers and plants being extraordinarily beautiful. The tulips bloom in seven colors like a dazzling rainbow, making one feel the bright spirit of spring. Walking and pausing, one's mood will also improve! 👫 Xujiahui Park has a skywalk pathway, which is also a nice perspective. Looking at the swans foraging in Huijin Lake and the little fish swimming around, the clear water reflection is beautiful, and the ecological environment is very good!

Last year, Xujiahui Park indeed provided many surprises, with its scenery and flowers brightening everyone's eyes. So this year, with high hopes, I visited again, only to be somewhat disappointed. The overall layout lacked the creative continuity of the past, and it even felt like a step back. There were also very few flowers, perhaps due to the season, with only a few cherry trees in full bloom and a small patch of tulips adding any color. Therefore, this year's Xujiahui Park was a bit of a letdown.

🫡 Hengshan Heji will officially close at the end of August this year, leaving not much time for the bookstore, which is currently selling books at a 70% discount. Last August, the news of Heji's impending closure attracted the attention of many people. In the end, the government of Xuhui District in Shanghai actively intervened and successfully preserved the bookstore. Unexpectedly, in less than a year, the bookstore is facing closure again in August. Every era has its own cultural symbols, and without the support of capital, it is difficult for bookstores to survive on sentiment alone. If you also love Heji, remember to visit.

You can always trust the Hengfu area of Shanghai, where even the median parks are accompanied by French-style old houses! With the unveiling of a green space at the intersection of Hengshan Road and Wuxing Road, which is an excellent historical building, the Hengfu plane tree area has gained another open pocket park for daily leisure, flower appreciation, and photography. It has a very pleasant name, called 'Libo·Shuiyang'. 🏠 95-year-old Libo Garden ▫️ There are many works by the Lai'an Foreign Firm around Hengshan Road and Yongjia Road, and Libo Garden is one of them. Completed in 1928, this modern detached garden residence, as an early classic work of Lai'an, has a distinctive classical style; after the 1930s, Lai'an mainly focused on designing modernist buildings. ▫️ The distant small building with its double-sloped red tile roof and white cement scraped wall surface exudes a strong French flair. Closer by, there are retro European fountains, exquisite green lawns, and winding paths that give an immediate impression of an oil painting. It matches well with Hengshan Road, known as the 'Champs-Élysées of the East'. ⛲️ From Private Garden to Median Park ▫️ Libo Garden was originally the private residence of the chairman of the Banque de l'Indochine, Lenton, and later the Shanghai Institute of Sports. Neither the building nor the large lawn to the south of the main house has been open to the public for a long time. ▫️ After a series of renovations, the past boundaries have been removed, and everyone can finally enter the former private garden and closely admire this charming historical building. 💐 In the Prime of Hydrangea Blooming ▫️ The park is not large, but you can walk around the lawn along the trail and encounter some exquisite garden features unexpectedly. ▫️ Currently, in many parks and green spaces in Shanghai, hydrangeas are blooming vigorously, and a small patch has also been planted at the entrance of Libo Garden.
