#mountainview Yangtaishan forest park or Mount Yangtai is a small mountain between Baoan, Nanshan and Longhua districts. It is a beautiful natural park and a great place for walking. There are several entrances around the park and there are different paths that snake around the park, with pavillions and rest stops placed frequently placed along its length. The top of the mountain is 587m high so there are quite a few steps to climb to the very top. When reaching the peak you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the forest park, you can also see a high speed rail line to the west side of the park, and the city districts in the distance. There are some large reservoir lakes and small streams and waterfalls around the park. I highly recommend bringing water and food with you if you decide to come hiking here as there arent any shops except outside the entrances.

Natural Landscape - Majestic Peaks: Dayangtai Mountain, with an altitude of 587.1 meters, is known as the "highest peak in western Shenzhen." Standing on the summit, you'll have a panoramic view of the entire Shenzhen cityscape—a truly breathtaking experience. - Gurgling Streams: The park has five small and medium-sized reservoirs and over 20 springs and streams. It is divided into Dayangtai, Xiaoyangtai, and two mountains. Here we recommend Xiaoyangtai Mountain, which is located in Dalang, Longhua District. The park has beautiful scenery and complete facilities. It is a scenic spot integrating natural landscape, outdoor sports, and parent-child entertainment. There is a "Victory Rescue" sculpture in the park square, which is a must-see check-in point for tourists. There are also artificial lakes, lawns, children's playgrounds, and smart fitness sports fields on the square, which are very suitable for bringing children to have picnics and play. The weekend is hot, and I wanted to find a place to cool off, so I found the Yantian Mountain Creek Tracing Trail in Shenzhen. It's directly accessible by subway, and you don't have to climb high mountains, perfect for lazy people. 🗓Route: From Dalang Victory Rescue Square, walk up the greenway on the right side of the square, turn right at the fork, and get on the Longhua Ring City Greenway, heading towards Guanhu Pavilion. Note that there is a fork on the road leading to the top of Yantian Mountain, don't go that way. We're here to play in the water, not to challenge mountain climbing. Passing by two small waterfalls, finally arriving at—— 📍Longxi Bridge, you can start tracing the creek upstream! The further you go, the more surprises you find. People occasionally get unexpected surprises! Take a taxi from Shangwu Metro Station Exit C1 to Yangtai Mountain Forest Park (Shiyan Entrance). Upon arriving at Shiyan Square, take the steps on the right side of the archway, pass a section of dirt road (p18) to quickly climb the mountain. Without resting, it takes about an hour to reach the top of Yangtai Mountain (I forgot the exact path, but people around said it's the fastest). We started climbing at 3 PM, taking breaks along the way, stopping at pavilions to enjoy the breeze and take photos. It was really hot and sunny! It took us 2 hours to reach the top at a leisurely pace. We reached the top of Yangtai Mountain at 5 PM, and the sky was still blue. We sat in the rest pavilion until 6 PM, then went to watch the sunset. We also took some amazing photos on the cliff, thanks to a passerby who helped us! Before the sun completely set, we started descending at 6:30 PM from the steep slope on the west side (p5). The scenery along the way was beautiful! Along the way, I passed the "Guancanghai" viewpoint and the "Fengmen'ao" archway with a vending machine, marking two-thirds of the journey completed.
