Tang Dynasty-style Hotel by Slender West Lake, Like Living in a Beautiful Sea of Flowers!
I missed the "Misty Flowers in March" season in Yangzhou this year, but finally visited at the end of April, and it was truly delightful! I found a traditional-style hotel just 3km from Slender West Lake, costing only 300+ yuan during off-season, offering incredible value!
🌼This is the Yangzhou Tang City Shuiyun Resort Hotel, located in Yangzhou Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Resort Area. It's just over 900m from the Guangling King's Mausoleum, 2km from Daming Temple, and only 3km from Slender West Lake - super convenient location!
🌼What makes this hotel special:
✅Stunning Tang Dynasty architecture and courtyards, with beautiful roses blooming on the fence at the main entrance!
✅The scenery is even more beautiful when the lights come on at night, with an entire wall of lanterns lit up, creating a classical atmosphere.
✅Breakfast features traditional Yangzhou morning tea style. Though it's semi-buffet, you can try several classic Yangzhou morning tea items. The taste is excellent, and the Yangchun noodles are absolutely delicious!
✅Rooms come with large classical bathtubs and Dyson hair dryers - extremely good value for this price range!
✅Stay includes two tickets to Slender West Lake Hot Spring Resort. The hot spring experience there is truly excellent, with dozens of outdoor pools - the most variety of pools I've experienced at any hot spring. Even though summer is approaching, I think it's still perfect for hot springs. The mild weather makes soaking more comfortable and better for relieving humidity and stress.
✅Transportation around the hotel is convenient. You can visit the Guangling King's Tomb Museum to see the "Yellow Intestine Coffin," enjoy Slender West Lake during day or night, and experience the scenery of Daming Temple. If you've already visited these places, you can also check out Song Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park, which locals love.
🏞️Nearby attraction recommendations:
1️⃣Guangling King's Tomb Museum: This is the tomb of Liu Xu, the first Guangling King of Western Han Dynasty, and one of the rare large-scale Han tombs in China, with over 2,000 years of history. It features an imperial-grade "Yellow Intestine Coffin" with well-preserved coffin chambers and magnificent scale - truly rare in the world.
2️⃣Slender West Lake: All of Yangzhou's essence is here! The lake offers both daytime and nighttime views - if it's your first visit to Yangzhou, I recommend experiencing both.
3️⃣Daming Temple: Master Jianzhen from the Tang Dynasty once served as abbot here, and Ouyang Xiu built Pingshan Hall here. Many ancient scholars and literati left their mark here. Climb the Qiling Pagoda for a panoramic view of the Grand Canal Resort Area.
4️⃣Sui Yangdi Emperor's Tomb Heritage Park: This park, opened just last year, is definitely worth visiting. Emperor Yang of Sui Dynasty loved Yangzhou and its hibiscus flowers, and was eventually buried here. The museum has excellent flow design, is particularly beautiful, and feels very high-tech.
