The lower end of the Yarra River near Melbourne, Australia, is a must-see location if you love nature. The river is home to a vast and fragile ecosystem, including several species of fish. Dolphins are often seen swimming upstream into this river due to the salinity of its southern waters. The banks of the Yarra River are home to cultural events, such as Melbourne's annual Moomba festival which includes a water skiing competition. Rowing is another popular sport along the Yarra and Melbourne's private schools are known for training their teams here.

Melbourne vibrant cultures
Exploring Melbourne by immersing in the vibrant culture of Melbourne. Stroll along the Yarra River and enjoy the picturesque views. The building in Melbourne for my own opinion is a blend of modern and history and culture. For 2nd day, I had signed up for Puffing Billy Railway departing from Belgrave, The open-sided carriages offer stunning views and a nostalgic experience. Stop at Lakeside for a picnic lunch by the lake or explore the nearby Emerald Lake Park. Return to Melbourne after that for next day journey.

Melbourne's Cityscape
Melbourne is a city that took my breath away with its diverse and striking architecture. From modern skyscrapers to Victorian-era buildings, this Australian gem has it all for architecture lovers like myself.
As I strolled along the Yarra River, I was greeted by the sight of Federation Square's iconic modern design. With its sloping planes and mix of zinc, glass and sandstone, this public square shows Melbourne's embrace of contemporary architecture. Nearby Flinders Street Station, in contrast, is a stunning remnant of the city's colonial past. The prominent domed building built in 1910 remains a treasured landmark.
Venturing into the Central Business District, I craned my neck upwards to admire the towering skyscrapers. Our guide highlighted the unusual triangle-shaped Tower Melbourne, before pointing out the striking blue glass exterior of the Eureka Tower. At almost 300 meters high, this skyscraper offers incredible views from its observation deck.
Just outside the city center in inner suburbs like Fitzroy, Carlton and St Kilda, blocks of attached Victorian terraces with wrought iron lacework delighted me with their old-world charm. And the World Heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building, constructed in 1880 for the Melbourne International Exhibition, remains an outstanding symbol of the city's 19th century pride and confidence.
With its respect for the old and embrace of the new, Melbourne has curated an architectural experience like no other for visitors. The diversity of building styles here, from modern wonders to historic icons, tells the story of an innovative city confidently looking to the future without forgetting its past. I was thoroughly impressed.

Yarra River Cruise @Melbourne
One of the best outdoor activities to do in Melbourne is cruises on the Yarra River. Since I had other plans and limited time, therefore I took two hours river cruise instead of a half-day cruise, which was enough for me to see several important landmarks in Melbourne, such as Docklands, Southbank, Crown Hotel, and Victorian Arts Centre.
This is a lovely activity to do, to see the Melbourne city view from a different perspective, from the Yarra river.
The journey is absolutely lovely, with beautiful buildings, bridges, condominiums, Melbourne aquarium, Melbourne Convention Center, parks, and malls located or can be seen along the Yarra River.
I wish I have time to do another cruise in the evening, a dinner cruise. Well, Melbourne, see you again.
Location: Berth 2, Federation Wharf, Princes Walk, Melbourne.

Winter season on the Arya River in Melbourne🇦🇺
[Trip Moment Yarra River, Melbourne, Australia🇦🇺]
I took a walk along the Yarra River during my trip to Melbourne~😆
The Yarra River, which flows through the middle of the city, was a special place where you can feel the harmony between the city's vitality and nature!!
What was impressive was the view of the city from the riverside. The modern high-rise buildings across the river and the antique buildings in between showed the unique charm of Melbourne. I could feel that this city is a place where the past and present coexist harmoniously!!
While walking, I noticed pretty cafes and restaurants here and there. I stopped by a small cafe on the riverside for a moment and had a cup of warm coffee while looking at the river. The sight of boats and ducks leisurely floating on the river added to the peaceful and leisurely atmosphere.🏙
I recommend taking a leisurely walk around the Yarra River during your trip to Melbourne, Australia!🫠

Stroll along the Yarra River
#WinterTravel
Yarra River, Melbourne, Australia The river flows from its source in the Yarra Ranges west for 242 kilometres, through the Yarra Valley, which opens up to the plains as it meanders through upper Melbourne before emptying into Hobsons Bay in Port Phillip Bay to the north.
The river was primarily used for agriculture by early European settlers. The landscape of the river has changed significantly since 1835.
The surrounding atmosphere is very good, especially in the morning or evening. Anyone visiting Melbourne can stop by.

Feeling relaxed on the Han River and Yarra River in Melbourne🏞️
I walked along the Yarra River alone.
I always walked with people, but this was my first time walking alone, and it was much more special than I thought. As I walked along the riverside, picturesque scenery unfolded before my eyes, and people were spending their time in their own ways. Some were sitting on the grass reading books, some were riding bikes along the river, and others were having a picnic and laughing with friends.
Even without doing anything special, I felt like the people here were just enjoying the present. In that leisurely scenery, I stopped for a moment and took a deep breath.
During that time when everything was free and peaceful, the Yarra River gave me an unforgettable moment.

There are many parks and attractions along the banks, and at night, you can take a walk along the banks of the Yarra River. Yarra River
After checking in to the hotel, we started exploring Melbourne. The first place we will go to is the Yarra River at the bottom of the CBD because we can see the beautiful view of the heart of Melbourne by walking across the Yarra River to Southbank and walking along the river. Then, we recommend walking back to the CBD at Princes Bridge to continue to Flinders Street Railway Station. It is a city with a beautiful landscape. I was in Melbourne for 2 days and walked around twice. The buildings look new, modern and colorful. I personally think it is more beautiful than Sydney, but the lights are not as spectacular, probably because the building structures are different. #australia #victoria #melbourne #yarrariver #visitmelbourne

Port of Melbourne, the mouth of the Yarra River
The scenery at the mouth of the Yarra River in the Port of Melbourne. The port area has many very old wooden piles that should be relics of Jimbo's legacy, and in the distance there is a sea-crossing bridge. The modern buildings on both sides of the Yarra River are distinct from the completely modernized appearance of the CBD center.
