It was mostly made up of short trees, and I couldn't see any tall trees because the wind was blowing through, so I could see a lot of grass. It was also fun to observe the changing ecosystem as I climbed Hallasan Mountain.

#May Travel Support Fund I went up to Mt. Halla for the first time with my family, but I couldn't go all the way to the top. I only went up to the part where I could see the top of Mt. Halla. The course was not as easy as I thought, so it was a really hard experience going up and down. Still, it was good to experience it once before I get old.

After the flat terrain appeared, we were able to see the top of Mt. Halla, and for some reason, it felt like we were in a foreign country. We didn't make it to the top, but we were proud.

#May Travel Support Fund It was really hard climbing the Yeongsil Course of Mt. Halla, but all my fatigue went away when the flat part came out. There were a lot of crows here in particular, and I had a great time playing with these crows and sharing the food I had. Have a great time on the Yeongsil Course.

A mountain that can be seen from anywhere in Jeju Island, Hallasan! When you go to Jeju Island, the first thing you will see is Hallasan standing tall in the middle. Among the many courses to climb Hallasan, I went to ‘Witseoreum’ on the ‘Yeongsil’ course. Some courses require advance reservations, but Yeongsil Course can be climbed without reservations. The autumn scenery was amazing, and the view of the entire Jeju Island from Witseoreum was also really great. The climb was not as difficult as you might think, so it takes about 4~5 hours to get to Witseoreum and back down. You can climb in hiking clothes, or you can climb in comfortable sportswear and it won’t be too difficult. I saw the ocean at Hamdeok Beach I ate matcha shaved ice at Barambyeok White Donkey I ate pasta at Dalgrak Table for my last supper🍝 My family went up to Seoul and I continued my trip from Woljeong-ri, so I went to Woljeong-ri😍 I rented an electric bike and rode it on the beach to enjoy the weather🚲

#August travel support event #Korea #Jeju Island Witseoreum There are many ways to climb Hallasan, but the shortest one is the Witseoreum of Yeongsil Course, which is easy for beginners to climb. This course starts at an altitude of 1280m. The section where you climb stairs in the middle is the most difficult, but there is a place where the view suddenly opens up and becomes flat, and the peak of Hallasan seen from that point is spectacular. The peak is much larger and closer than you think, so it feels quite different from what you see in the picture. Since it is a high altitude, the temperature is low, and even in April, the snow did not melt in the valley. I recommend starting the climb of Hallasan as early as possible in the morning. Since there are many stairs, you may lose stamina quickly, so please bring plenty of water and snacks. I think you can easily plan a round trip of 4~5 hours.

We chose Yeongsil Trail which is of moderate difficulty level and does not require a permit. The trail leads hikers through lush forests and offers spectacular views of the island and beyond. The trail from Witse Oreum Shelter to Nambyeok Junction is the last stretch of Yeongsil Trail which is 2.1 km long. Witse Oreum is one of the oreums (parasitic volcanoes) on Hallasan. Nambyeok Junction is located in front of Nambyeok of Donnaeko Trail, where the path to Witse Oreum and the path to Donnaeko area separate. However it does not lead to the summit and also the crater lake. We passed by Byeongpungbawi Rock (Folding Screen Rocks) about 1.5 km into the hike. The towering rocks have the appearance of a folding screen and thus are referred to as the 'Folding Scree Rocks. #TravelSupportEvent Climbing Hallasan is not an easy task. I walked the Yeongsil Course, known as the easiest and shortest course among the courses. It is a course of 5.8km and takes 2 hours and 30 minutes, and you can drive to the 1280m high point in front of the hiking trail. It is said to be the shortest course, but it was not short. Even so, I was able to fully feel the beauty of Hallasan.
