Yokohama Marine Tower is a symbol of Yokohama Port that opened in 1961. It is also a place with beautiful night illuminations. #YokohamaTourism How many times have I climbed it? From the days of the red and white lighthouse to the present, even if the much taller Landmark Tower was built, the Marine Tower is the symbol and landmark of Yokohama to me. At the end of September after the typhoon had passed, I looked up at the tower and confirmed that the sky was clear, so I decided to go up. The ticket vending machine had been updated, and of course it was designed to accept electronic money and credit cards. The elevator took about one minute to reach the observation deck. The inside of the observation deck used to be very cluttered, but now it has a simple and clean design. And the view was great because it was sunny. I couldn't see Mt. Fuji, but the view was especially good in two directions, the Bay Bridge and the Minato Mirai area. If you think about it, the Bay Bridge is closer than the Minato Mirai area, and you can't see the landmark itself from the landmark. So I enjoyed the spectacular view. In winter, the air becomes clearer, so I think I'll come back to see Mt. Fuji.

A good amount of things to see/do at the base. So long as you get good weather, you'll have a nice view of the Minato Mirai skyline that rivals the views you can get from Osanbashi Pier or the Bay Bridge Sky Walk. Solid views of Yokohama from all around.

This is the famous tower here in Yokohama. You can actually see the whole view of the Yokohama bay. It has colorful lights at night. We had fun taking picture on its bottom view. I visited Marine Tower last year December with a friend. The ticket costs 1200 JPY on weekend. It was nice. We can see view of Yokohama. Can see the Gundam Factory as well. Only the metal curtain (?!) on 30th floor is annoying. The reflection is on the glass, so it’s difficult to take beautiful picture. #2024wish

I was able to easily find #YamashitaPark (#山下公園) through the signposts all over the street, and as soon as I entered the park, I first looked for the tower that I could see from afar.
